Just had a challenge of 10 000 score in Rumble Pit and realized that I just can’t play well anymore, every game I finish last as if nothing work as intended anymore. I am always the first one to shoot, punch and shoot again, but I am always the first one to die. I even just clipped a video of me shooting in a straight line on a none moving player, shooting at me as well, I shot first and he killed me first, both with AR. Plus, how come the sidekick pistol kill faster then the AR? How does that make sense? A pistol shooting and killing faster then a freaking automatic gun meant to shoot fast. I am not enjoying my time right now, I was decent enough to enjoy the game so far, but it look like something was patched or I don’t know. I’ve been streaming the game and I got tons of unfair bug clipped (sometimes, those bug even help me, like I get kill I shouldn’t have, I even got a clip where my skewer is a homing missile and move away from it’s line and kill the player), plus viewers who see the exact same thing I do when things like that happen. Like… 8/10 of my deaths shouldn’t have been my death. This is why it starting to feel extremely frustrating, I feel like every little action in the game doesn’t work as intended or doesn’t work the same way it did a few months ago. It’s like every update they release, the game gets harder and harder.
Ive experienced inconsistencies like that too. One game it’s like I can’t lose any skirmish / double/ triple kills then the next game I can’t manage to get that last shot for the kill, ever.
This is what makes their last spartan standing playlist so unenjoyable!! This exact reason. 343 see this!!
That’s the one reason I generally don’t do FFA matches. Because you’re tossed in a seemingly unfair situation and just suppose to deal with it and struggle to hope you make a decent mark. Even as a decent player you’re chances to well are a 1 out of whatever the total player count, so nearly 100% chance you won’t end up winning even if you’re really good at a game.
This is why I stick to BTB whenever I can. The larger player count a team has, the less the game is relying on how well you as a player do. As long as my team isn’t completely bad, I generally just try to push myself to contribute positively for the team and not go all out like I have to win at all costs.
I still get horribly match ups, usually when one side is just completely ignoring objectives in BTB lol. But those are fare and few between unlike what you can experience in FFA matches.
What’s the point of playing the game if we can’t get a decent enough scores? I feel like I have had one too many defeats, gone from average to below average, and I always get my -Yoink!- kicked EVEN though I tried my best to get the upper hand. This game is catered too much towards competitive players, and casuals like myself can’t seem to enjoy, because we’re always at a huge disadvantage.
This whole multiplayer thing just sucks.
Have you thought about creating your own e-sports squad? Might be the right place for you to look into if “rate of fire” and “hit accuracy” are bugging you.
yeah the shear amount of inconsistencies are beyond irritating.
Between Dsync and a falling population. Players are going to see a lot more difficult/imbalanced matches.
Apparently I’m just bad at Halo now. No matter what playlist I play, I’m getting most deaths on my team and least kills. It’s like I can shoot someone first with an AR, not miss any shots, and still lose the trade. Every. Single. Time.
I just don’t understand. It’s like it’s gotten worse and worse every week.
Sounds like you’re just holding down the AR on high ping, which is a very bad combination, even without desync rearing its ugly head. Heck, it sounds like you’re holding down on the AR period. Try feathering and not holding down the AR for more than 1s at a time. If you are holding down for longer than 1s, you’re just letting weapon spread and reticule bloom screw you over harder.
What, like short controlled bursts?
No, nothing fancy like that. Simply hold down the trigger, but control yourself and let it go so the reticule bloom resets after ~1s of sustained fire. Any more than 1s and the shots start going wild, which really hinders the killing power of this weapon since it can actually headshot.
So the ideal usage of AR is to put as many shots as possible to break, then go for headshot.
I find it helps to aim for the head even when breaking the shields, but I don’t think anyone has done any videos on if that adds an advantage…
It shouldn’t and doesn’t, or else the forums would be flooded with complaints. No weapon in the game right now does bonus headshot damage to shields, and ironically this also applies to some Plasma weapons. (look at how bad PP is)
In general it’s better to center mass with the AR to get the maximum amount of bullets in to drain shields in the least amount of time, then go for the headshot.
The sniper does, 2 shot to break the shield and kill in the body, 1 shot to the head and it break the shield + kill.
