I can't play Halo any more due to my connection

My game-play quality is so bad I can’t play live any more, I lag so badly that when I jump from a height that would usually deplete your shields half way, I hit the ground and take damage, teleport back to where I jumped from fall again and take more damage until I die. Only about half of my shots register, I assassinate someone and get assassinated, I drive and teleport off the nearest cliff, I can shoot someone with a rocket reload, they beat me down, walk away, and then my rocket blows up where they were ten seconds before, I guess I am saying all this as a fair well, I will still view these forums and take screenshots, but I probably won’t be able to attend any more Waypoint activitys, or play with any of you on live, so fair well xboxlive.

We (my family) pay for high speed DSL, we get 3 megabits per second download speed, that is what we have had the past two years, it’s been fine. But now, our our up-stream bandwidth is so low, it’s like it isn’t even there, it used to be fine, but just keeps getting slower, and slower. Our internet provider CenturyLink has a monopoly in our area and doesn’t give a crap what we are getting, all they care about is getting our money, and we can’t exactly go without internet, so we pay for crap. Our up-stream bandwidth is so low, under the network status in Reach, it says “Undetected” for up-stream bandwidth. We can’t upgrade because we are paying for the highest speed available in our area, and there are not any other internet providers within 20 miles, so there is nothing we can do.

We have a gaming grade router, and we are using a wired connection, so that isn’t the problem. We can’t even watch You-tube anymore, let alone Netflix.

If anyone has any sugestions, a brand of router, a way to hack CenturyLink (LOL just joking) anything would be great!

OMG SAME HERE. mine has gone really bad this month it starting like 2 months ago and now i cant even play matchmaking with out a lag :frowning:

I would contact your internet provider. They may be having issues at the moment.

I have played for years with a upstream bandwith of 0.3 Mb, now I got 0.5, which feels kinda the same, but still sucks

Sounds like you need Xfinity.

Yeah, right. We have called them like 5 times and they say that it is the same now as it was 2 years ago, bull, two years ago we could load a 10 minute video on You-tube in 30 seconds! Now it is the other way around, and they pretty much say deal with it.

What is Xfinity?
