I just created mt Discord account but I cannot join the Halo server.
The page refreshes and nothing happens. I can join other servers just fine. My friend was just able to join the server.
I’ve reinstalled it, checked my OS for updates, changed my user name, used my Android and my wife’s iPhone and none of it works.
What am I doing wrong over here?
Just tried on a computer and I can see the icon appear in the left and then disappear.
I’ll try again later, I guess.
Same here, thought with forum shutting down I’d join discord, get into preview mode and that’s it 
I click to join and then it just goes back to discord screen and nothing
I’m also the same but different. my old account got banned because i got hacked, i was told to make a new one and i could rejoin the discord, made a new one not a week later and haven’t been able to join since. been having these problems since the start of January
As someone who perpetually deletes social media accounts, I’ve found that some discord channels - including Halo, take five days to join. Some new accounts automatically age back a month (I have no idea why) but if your account creation date is recent, give it five days.

I can’t even join the Discord, lol.
I was banned years back for asking questions about the political nameplates 343i were adding to the game. I didn’t even say anything bad, I was just banned without warning permanently. I appealed a year later, and it was instantly blocked.
The entire Discord is like that unfortunately.
Wait a couple weeks and then try rejoining. If you’ve not been previously banned you should be able to join

The discord is just a massive echo chamber for 343i
This isn’t really directed at you, but this is just one more notch in the argument that discord is at best a “side-grade” and almost surely a downgrade from these forums
I agree with you. And as others have said, it’s very moderation heavy. I have got to know some people on there and they’re friendly, but I can say I feel the channel is very cliquey given it’s mostly regulars. I prefer boards when discussing topics as the conversation can span days or weeks instead of minutes or just gets lost in the void. Probably doesn’t help that I’m old enough to be the mom of the average discord user.

It has nothing to do with the link. It’s the age of the account. They’ll be able to join in a few days.

If you made a brand new account, just wait a few days and try joining again. There’s some security measures in place that restrict brand, spankin’ new accounts in. I’ll take a look at stuff today and see if there’s some changes we can make in the meantime.

It let me join now and I registered yesterday, not overly keen on it as prefer forum, but nothing I can do about that, at least still get to have discussions
