I have been trying to invite my friend into my spartan company but whenever I invite him he eithier never even gets the invite or he accepts and nothing happens. Does anyone know how to resolve it?
Is your friend already in another company? You need to leave your current company before you join another one.

If messages aren’t going through it sounds like your friend’s Xbox Live account is a child account.

I thought child accounts couldn’t join companies because they couldn’t receive messages on Waypoint? So the following bolded part should rule that out if it’s true:

Also, F1shfa2 has the enlisted badge so they’ve been in a company before. Doesn’t look like they’re in one now though.
I might be wrong about all this though, my Company troubleshooting is admittedly quite out of date.
