I don’t know about you, but I have “more than one little problem” with the game. They took a near run thing and blew it.

I said it’s the best to stop focusing, not best to drop support, if they put a lot of focus on Halo 4 and may not put as much attention into Halo Xbox One, it may flop (at least multiplayer wise), just devote a smaller team to Halo 4 and a larger one to Halo Xbox One

It still plays like halo mainly just with a few new things (don’t start)

The two threads that you have linked have both been locked and seem like trolls to me, not good examples when discussing community issues when you are looking at the minority of the community.
Secondly, why can’t we complain? Its the Halo 4 forum after all, if we can discuss Halo 4, we can’t just discuss all the positives, we have to look at the negatives aswell.
Then again, we are mostly focusing on the negatives, but it is only because we want the game to improve.
And if its what the community wants to discuss, then they can discuss it.
Finally, if you are fed up of all the negative threads, what do YOU want to discuss about Halo 4 that’s “positive”?
Is it the relationship between Cortana and Chief? The graphics? How good a map Complex is?*
Have an answer?
Good.
Go and make your own thread about it and see if people are interested, if they are, they will discuss it with you, if not, then tough luck.
*That question was sarcastic in case anyone was wondering.

Or they could just hire Certain Affinity and other studios to work on the game like they did with practically everything else in Halo 4. And still, roughly 10 months of “quality” support before being phased out in favor of the next game doesn’t concern anyone? If Halo Xbox One releases in 2014, then are we expecting to get a year at best out of each game? Prior Halo games lasted longer than that and had more content to offer.

80% positive they were serious.
> 80% positive they were serious.
Perhaps, but the point still remains that they are most likely a minority and that they are not good sources when looking at the community as a whole.

What kind of “support” are you talking about? The only thing 343i can do at this point is release more DLC. Fixing the real problems (by that, I’m not talking about glitches or gametypes, but rather gameplay elements that contributed to Halo 4’s low online population) would require so much change, they might as well release a new game. Which is why I suggested that Halo Xbox One will fix these problems.
I hope to God that Certain Affinity stays out of Halo Xbox One’s development.

Good luck going to every member of every Halo forum and asking for their opinions to get a more “whole” look at the community.

-
Lack of Custom Games (343 acknowledged this with words, not actions)
-
Lack of Campaign Theater (343 shot this down)
-
Broken Alert-Carry (343 has not given any response)
-
Lack of Classic Playlist (After 8 months, we finally got Legendary Slayer… Which still isn’t classic gameplay!)
-
Broken Shield Recharge Delay (343 acknowledged this, but they gave us a perk for it… The opposite of what we would have wanted!)
-
Broken Vehicle Combat (343 acknowledged this by giving us a perk, again the opposite of what we would have wanted!)
-
Broken Forge Functions (343 may have given us a new Forge Map, but that does not fix the issues with Forge itself -Precision editing, dysfunctional Magnets, Lack of Editor Zoom- … Which 343 said that they would not fix…)
-
The Lack of Campaign Flashlight (just kidding)
All of these obvious problems fully justify the communities seemingly hostile response towards Halo 4… No one can deny that…
I see too much polarization. There are those who blindly hate Halo 4, even to the point where they hate the things they like about it. Then there are those who “praise the ground 343 walks on” as if 343i has never made and will never make any mistakes with Halo 4. I see very few people who criticize its flaws or at least agree that it has flaws at all while acknowledging that 343i isn’t made up of people who want to see Halo burn.
