I can't handle this anymore.

I tried, I really did try. I have no problems with the weapon tuning on this latest TU. BUT… the new static weapon placement no one asked for, the ridiculously fast respawn timers, the new weapons and vehicles added all over the existing maps (that NO ONE asked for) have ruined this game for me. I already hated the Infinity settings and the return of certain AA’s from Reach (Active Camo I’m talking about you and no one else) but I kept playing. I jumped on for the 1st time in a while yesterday and today. Good lord I have never been so frustrated. If I wanted to play action sack I would go into that playlist. Unfortunately with these new settings every game I play is now an action sack game. There’s so much randomness in the game now that I get so mad and have to walk away. I got into Halo late during the Halo 3 years and now, looking back I wish I would’ve understood then, what I do now. It’s not like 343 has no clue what they’re doing. The only problem is that 343 makes one good decision but negates it with 15 bad ones. They did the TU for Reach but got rid of Squad Slayer, they introduce this great weapon balancing but screw it up with things no one asked for. Going by how 343 has handled Reach and Halo 4, it’s a LONG shot that I’ll actually be playing Halo 5 when it comes out. So sad that a great franchise has been ruined like this.

Bro, you and me both. I’m playing Reach now and it’s a way better experience. I never rage like I do in 4 where the maps (which aren’t very good to begin with) are ruined by insta-spawn, personal ordinance, LAGGG, custom loadouts, and of course the newest plague of spawn-happy power weapons and vehicles.

It’s too damn much. I stuck with the game when I thought it was getting better but obviously that’s not the case.

Major issues are
1)Lag!
2)Ordnance being OP and random
3)Crappy respawn times on maps atm

To be fair the weapon TU was overall a good thing (BR should be 12 shot like Halo 3…), but then they do this…?

Yeah the weapon update is great but what good is it when they ruined everything else?

um…I asked for weapons on map and better vehicle map play. weapons on the map means people have a reason to not sit in a corner and camp for a POD. It creates map flow which was needed.

Also maps like vortex have been improved with these new vehicles. Now instead of a circle jerk for the middle the whole map is used and fought in.

Can’t really comment on the weapon spawn timers. They don’t feel faster to me. Maybe they switched from when you dropped the gun to start the timmer to picking the gun up starts the timer. “shrugs”

You can quit anytime, and it looks like you are so congratz. So far what bothers me is the constant lag! I mean come on Microsoft it’s not like you’re poor, buy some better servers!

To be fair, people were asking for static weapon spawns but you’re correct in that they respawn far too quickly.

I agree with all other points you made. I deleted all evidence of Halo 4 from my hard drive last weekend. I see no reason to hang on anymore when all I really get out of this game is stress and aggrivation.

I agree with most of what your saying…
Except I enjoy the faster respawn times for vehicles… especially for Ragnarok and Longbow.
Blitzkrieg is wonderful in Halo. It opens up so many new tactics, and that’s what I hope 343 continues to improve on - vehicles. Halo players want to veer away from being like COD, right? You don’t want to have where you play as if you were on a X-axis all game. Banshees bring in the Y-axis which is great… and the faster respawn times for the vehicles makes the fun last longer.

As said many times already, LOADS of people were asking for static weapon spawns. Respawn times may be off but people were absolutely asking for static weapon spawns and 343 came through.

Static weapon spawns would have almost made the weapon issues bearable if they’d changed it 6 months ago instead. Anyone who played a halo game in some semblance of a competitive nature wanted static spawns, it’s a staple of halo’s style.

the only issue with the TU was it’s roughly 6 months late and dollar short.

What’s Halo 2’s excuse then?

I don’t seem to remember halo 2 removing things that made halo CE so revolutionary. What it added in the form of XBL and diversifying the weapon sandbox made up for a lot. Same would have been true here.

6 months to fix weapons that people mentioned within a week of release is too long, and that’s reflected in the population now.

Halo 2 didn’t have that kind of core gamestyle problem, the BR was the only option but it was beatable up close. XBL was new so anything about manipulation can only be prevented to an extent, obviously that was exploited, but it’s not like that changed any 10 years down the road.

Halo 2 was awfully broken and required multiple patches to be fixed

Sorry to see you go OP but creating dramatic exit posts only causes problems on the forum because no one cares if you leave and it just riles up people. Halo 4 is better now and a lot more fun. Halo 5 will be even better and I cannot wait.

Don’t like it. Don’t play.
I am amused at how many people feel the need to post, on the forums for everyone to see, that they are “tired of this game, and all the problems 343i brought into it. Tired of all the crap we put up with on a day to day basis because it’s not to my specifications!”

If you don’t like the game.
Don’t play.
Stop posting these threads.
Nobody cares.
Thank you and have a good day…

I love seeing how people just shrug off AAAALLLLL the exit posts of people and just say “who cares?”

Well people SHOULD damn well care because obviously the game has some serious freaking problems and who wants a low population?

People who have finally given up are expressing their deep frustration and burnt out hope that 343 is going to address issues and it is a last ditch effort to get the message across before leaving a series they love.

Ultimately we desperately want to play Halo 4 but it has some crippling problems and when ADDITIONAL problems crop up like the broken power weapon spawns, well, that hurts when you were waiting for the game to get BETTER. Show some respect.

I think I remember reading you started with Reach …

And, yes, I agree with the topic at hand. 3 days after the title update my last 2 friends, stopping playing the game also, out of my 100 friends, all Halo 3, 2 and 1 fans which I have known for both weeks and years.

Perhaps we are annoyed we see these posts every damn day, it’s always negativity on these forums, well why not provide some constructive criticism to help improve it? Not just saying Halo 4 is bad

Source? I started with 2, but quit like a year after with it, I stayed in multiplayer a bit longer with Reach if that’s what I said, but I started with 2

Also I’m not the only one that uses this Waypoint account, sometimes my friends and brother use it

And with my time on these forums I’ve changed my account name

Even if he did start with reach, doesn’t meant it didn’t happen. Halo 2 was a horrible mess, worse than Halo 4 and it took a long long time for it to get a patch to be better.
