I can't get kills with the carbine

I’m not a good halo player. But I can use every weapon in the game with no problems. Every weapon but one and that is the carbine. I rather use a battle rifle or a light rifle than a carbine. It’s the lowest kill count weapon for me. I’m at level 3 for the commendation for it. Can someone give me tips on how to use it or even make a video on how to use it because I really can’t use the carbine besides from the 2nd and 3rd tier on warzone.

You really missed out with super fiesta, the needle carbine is simply a beast.

If only it wasn’t replaced with FFA swat…

The carbine certainly feels slightly weak, that’s for sure. It’s easily outgunned.

You just shoot it like any other gun. One of my favorites actually. Getting perfect kills with it is tough but very satisfying. My main tip I suppose is just keep firing, there’s a decent amount of bullets in the clip, and if you’re working on the commendation play some BTB, they’re on some of the maps and spawn often so you can grab one whenever you die.

The carbine may feel a bit weak but honestly I think it comes down to headshot if aiming for the head seems to be best method. Fury is an awesome version of the carbine but of course can’t use in regular arena.

Pull the trigger as quickly as you can. It has insane levels of auto-aim.

I love it man, just take it as you can and you’ll improve

Fury is not a carbine it’s the 2nd tier of the storm rifle. Do you mean the rain of oblivion which is fully automatic? Or the blood of suban which is a needler carbine?

I would drop people when we were close quarters and I had the combine or they had the BR. Spam it on there head, it usually throws off their shot

You have to spam the trigger and don’t stop, and it’s better mid to long range. If you are hitting your shots its an awesome gun. If you’re having a bad aim day it takes too many (7) shots to kill, better off using something else.

Pretty sure it has the fastest TTK of the precision weapons, you just have to hit more shots.

My suggestion is to go for body shots until their shield is about to pop and slowly move up for the headshot to finish. Trying to get 7 headshots is way harder than 6 to the body and one to the head.

The trick is not to pull the trigger faster than the carbine can shoot. If you’re pulling the trigger too fast then all that unnecessary hand movement isn’t good for your aim.

Gotta relax and calmly squeeze the trigger.

Also, if you’re aim goes off target don’t keep shooting while you try to correct your aim, stop shooting and then resume when you’re back on target.

Carbine is good, it outranges a base br.

I use the standard Carbine for suppresive fire and occasional headshots in Warzone, while the Rain of Oblivion is really good for taking down enemies in a closer environment. The Blood of Suban is really good. The only thing I don’t like about it is the sound effect.

If you’re struggling with it, try spawning with one as soon as you clear home base in Warzone. You’ll have a Carbine before other players get BR’s since it’s a level 2 req, and it will outperform BR’s at longer ranges consistently due to its lack of spread. This will get you decent practice right up until enemy players start getting DMRS, at that point it will become more challenging.

I don’t think it matters, both are beastly presences on the battlefield when placed in the right hands. As for a general tactic when using the carbine, try to position yourself so you can keep a good distance from you’re enemy. You don’t need to have a large area to shoot them as they move due to it’s fire rate, and with it’s range, so long as you keep hitting them, you’ll hopefully be able to prevent them from zooming in on you, which greatly increases you’re chances of winning, especially if you get 'em from the side.

Like someone else said earlier, a good time to spawn them in is earlier rather than later, especially on Escape from Arc, at the beginning of the match when everyone is running toward the garage. Look from your armory across to the enemy armory, and you should be able to rack up some kills as they move toward the Garage, as you get 'em from the side, so you have the advantage of both shooting first, and a fast firing precision weapon.

Aside from that, some more general tips are take your time, because despite the general chaos of Warzone, you have plenty of it. Just move slowly and try to ensure that your first shots hit, and don’t squeeze the trigger as fast as you can. Just because it has the fastest rate of fire, doesn’t mean you need to fire as fast as you can, especially if it’s making you miss. Like any other weapon, pace your shots and control your recoil. Getting 10 shots out and taking the kill is always better than getting 18 rounds downrange and not getting the kill.

I think the carbine was designed to be paired with the plasma pistol for noob combos. The carbine does low damage, but has the highest rate of fire. So missing is much less costly with the carbine than it is with the BR, and a headshot will kill an shielded opponent regardless.

Practice with it. It was easy to finish the commendation.

Try to use the carbine many times, I think is like any other gun.

It is harder to switch from the inferior BR to the carbine but trust me, once you get some practice you’ll enjoy the master weapon  Carbine>>>>>>BR
