i can't find games after region lock was taken off

Hi I can’t seem to find halo games any more after they took region lock off and I assumed that it would be a lot easier to find games after it was taken off but it’s even worse now.

I was wondering what the problem could be to cause this to happen and if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this.

Hey there, I seem to be having the exact same problem as you. Ever since they turned off region lock it takes extremely long to find games and the only games I do find seems to be with people in my region (Oceania). I’ve tried resetting my router and opening my Nat type but that hasn’t worked :’(

This is a strange one… I would think with region lock being off you would have an abundance of games. Im sure both of you have power cycled your xbox? Maybe try that and power cycle your modem and router. Not sure if this will help but I find it really strange you cant find any games to play. How long has this issue been going on?

Been going on for almost a week now, searching in a fireteam sometimes helps but most times I’m usually the one causing the fireteam not to be able to find a game at all

The first week after they turned off region lock I still couldn’t find games.

This weekend I have found games consistently. Yeah they’re all US servers and my KDA has taken a hammering but its finding games in playlists where I’ve never found games before. I’ll take that as a win. I’ve even found enough games to get a rank in FFA… Something I thought would never happen in H5.

I will say its very hard to compete with people that have the same rank on paper when you’re giving them a 200 - 300 ms advantage in every encounter, but the alternative is no games at all.

Yep I’m having the exact same issues you guys are describing I’ve tried everything to fix the issue but I’ve had no luck. If anyone finds a solution make sure to let us know :slight_smile:

It’s almost like we’re still region locked :confused:

I have been disconnected 9 games in a ROW. Halo 5 multiplayer is currently unplayable for me because I can not find a match (I used to be matched every 6 minutes or so) and when I get into the match, I disconnect from the server. Seriously, 9 games consecutively.
