I can’t rely on luck to complete numerous challenges, and I don’t have the time to spend hours waiting on a specific playlist to complete my last challenge. Why would you have a BR specific Tactical Slayer challenge, decrease the chance of getting that playlist by adding two other variants, then decrease it even further by adding two more? Things need to change, and quickly. I’ve completed the battle pass. I’ve completed the events. Please give me something to stick around. Grifball would be nice. Anything!
I drafted a proposal to address your concerns directly! You can check it out here if you want:

The progress in this game is based on challenges from the ground up. The whole system is inherently broken and needs to be completely removed from the game other than for earning specific level based cosmetic rewards (as an example, see COD weapon challenges, levels and skin rewards). Whoever was responsible for this decision needs to receive their P45…or whatever the equivalent is in America.
Your main gripe with the game is the challenge system.
How will Grifball fix that when it’ll inevitably add to the challenge system?
Or
If you can play Grifball without focusing on the challenges, why can’t you do the same with the other game modes?
Grifball isn’t the solution to fix the challenge system. It’s a game mode that I’ve enjoyed playing since Halo 3. If there won’t be any major changes to the challenge systems, then more variety is necessary with the playlists.
Grifball is my favorite but it doesn’t have to be limited to that. Infection, Assault, Shotty Snipes, King of the Hill, Crazy King, Mongoose or Razorback racing on the BTB maps. Variety is the key word here. And of course I can play Slayer, Oddball, CTF, or Strongholds, but understand that I’ve been playing since the beta launch (not including technical previews) and I’m starting to feel the burnout.
We need a veto/vote system too.
Nothing is changing until May when season 2 (maybe) drops, and even then it won’t be much. It’s probably time to be realistic and accept that this game is going to be a giant mess for a pretty significant time period longer.
