That one of the two DLC Helioskrill variants does actually look better than the one I worked way too hard to get.

People will not be able to understand unless they worked for it already.
Its like buying a game from the store then it becomes the Games with Gold freebie. Only they actually told us it was an exclusive to this achievement and they have cheated us out of that promise by simply changing the colour pattern.
I too too think the Armor variants look better than the original.

Actually, I’ve beaten them all on legendary and a few LASO. Coop is not difficult at all so anyone who sees it shouldn’t be that impressed unless you told them you beat it solo. In which case you could wear any armor and still tell people you beat them all solo. The armor isn’t saying much. Either way it has its own pattern. Think about it as people having the same uniform but one having that top rank icon. Besides, not many people are going to get the full suit of legendary.
Helioskrill appearing in REQ packs is super lame for the people who worked for it.
It’s like the Phantom Bow in BF$. All of the people who payed for premium (including me), and worked hard across all four of the DLCS and through all those Phantom assignments to get through this wicked eater egg and get the bow, basically got the middle finger when they made the bow available through a free to play map available to everyone.
Not that the bow was particularly useful, but it was like a trophy, and also very cool to get kills with. Now everyone has it, and it’s not cool.
I dont see the problem, by getting it the hard way you had an exclusively earned skin for five months
343i said before launch that the helioskrill is only temporary exclusive to the achievement and would be released to the REQ system eventually. You all are whining about information we have known for months.

Just waiting for them to drop the next two Achilles variants and tick off all the companies grinding for that helmet. It’s really gonna chap some hides. I agree with you OP, kind of dumb that they make a helmet for actually doing something hard and then completely nerf the feelgood with the same helmet…with some extra stripes. Not cool 343…not cool.
