I agree. I think BR is not as fun to use as AR. They make the AR super satisfying to shoot in Infinite

While I think I understand the point behind a precision weapon being the default competitive start, I have to say the BR has consistently been my least favorite Halo weapon since its introduction and its adoption as the standard competitive weapon some time ago has only deepened this feeling. I’d love to see the Commando -a wonderful redesign of the DMR- get rebalanced and possibly fit into this role. It’s made for it in my opinion.
Personally I like the AR but I’m not really sure what you mean when you say you can’t believe we’re giving them a pass here. It implies that this is a deviation from usual Halo games, which it isn’t, and that most ranked players would prefer an AR start, which they wouldn’t.

Go play Call of Duty or Halo 4 or something. This game isn’t for you if you want a spray gun that doesn’t take skill in the ranked playlist.

I have never experienced a ranked halo playlist that used Assault Rifles as the starting weapon. When did you see that, and in which game?
Do you happen to play ranked? It’s for the competitive crowd. I personally want the BR to be the starting weapon for EVERY playlist. I’m tired of playing BTB and using bad weapons for ranged combat.

Yeah I gotta agree with most of the other responses. If there’s an area that should definitely use BR starts, it’s ranked.

Ranked should be forced to use only AR and no grenades or sidekick and no headshot bonuses you should only get ammo from the dead body of your enemies…, on the other note… I love the BR it’s been my favorite halo weapon since 2.
BR as starting weapon for ranked is a good choice.

Nahhhhh, you tripping. Keep that trash causal stuff in quick play. 
that would be really cool actually. its a shame the commando is so amazing in campaign but just kinda mid in MP. its definitely not a bad weapon, but its just not consistent enough. a decrease of its bloom I think is really all it needs. that or reduce its kill time by one or two shots.
If you’re trolling then you’re not actually thinking that’s how Ranked should be. That’s kind of how trolling works.
Why don’t you just detail greatly why you think what you think to convince people? Because otherwise, no one is going to switch to your way of thinking.
