if thats the case, and there’s only 8 hrs of gameplay like halo 4 was, than im so happy i came here before i spent my last $60 on this. I am pissed. I have been a huge halo fan from the get go. I switched from ps2 to xbox just for halo and have been xbox fan just for halo ever since. But now that im hearing more and more -Yoink- unravel that 343 does not even tell us cause they…ahh im not even gona go there…

But 3 missions as chief, 8 missions as this crew that is irrelevant to halo and i could care less about playing as, + only 8 HOURS of gameplay?! I think yall just saved me $60. I don’t even know if i want to tell all my friends this I know they wont buy it when they find out you only play as chief for 3 missions and 8 hrs of campaign lmfao what a joke…and I thought The Phantom Pain was an Upset?! LOL! WOW! People are gonna be SOOOOOOOOOO butt hurt when they find out. Ugh. the irony…RIP HALO 2000-2012

Welp all good things come to an end eventually…wonder how long 343 will milk this series like Call of Duty.

I don’t know how to feel about this…

RIP This Post 2015-2015

I wouldn’t make such assumptions until you actually play it. Could be a great campaign even when you’re not playing as MC

And there another person complaining…
Let’s add that one to the book.

Chief in my opinion is the one of the coolest characters in any franchise, my favorite Halo game… Reach, OP needs to cool his jets.

I will say it again like I have in other posts, Chief is a cool dude, he knows how to get the job done quickly and efficiently, but, in this scenario where we have a hunter and hunted, playing as characters from both perspectives kind of hurts the story, the wonder, and not knowing of these types of stories. Sure, we know why Chief went awol, hes looking for Cortana on Meridian. But, we don’t know his connection to the Warden or Guardians. This is where it is instrumental that you learn such things as the hunter, the unknowing of such info adds more depth to the story, seeing it happen from the hunted is still magnifying, but not to the same level of depth. It adds mystery.

Context. -Yoink!-, why the hell do people not understand that?
3 missions. Yeah, so what? These missions are likely to be longer and more important than Osiris’, and possibly have more unique elements to them. In terms of significance and attention, Blue Team is still the center of the stage, even when you’re not playing as them. A couple of Osiris’ missions will be non-combat too.

The ratio being skewed means nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Overreacting to this without actually knowing a single thing about it is simply pathetic.

If this is true then I am pretty pissed you put the spoiler in your thread title. I have been coming here and looking at non-spoiler threads while avoiding the other threads with these same complaints…except the others who had thread titles for the same subject matter had enough courtesy to not actually say how many mission there were or state it as if it were fact. If this is true that there are 3 missions and you put that big spoiler in your thread title, then you, OP, are a punk. I have avoided all the other threads like yours for a reason and every other thread has done well to not put any real info in their titles. yet you somehow fail.

For the record it isn’t a huge deal if there are only three missions. I am just salty someone actually put teh answer to something I didn’t want to know in the thread title.

Thank you OP for notifying us that you won’t be polluting this community anymore(in a perfect world). I love how people like you immediately jump to conclusions without even playing the campaign, also 8-10 hours on normal is longer than other Halo campaigns so what’s the problem there? Maybe if you waited to play it instead of basing all of your assumptions off of numbers, then maybe you could actually appreciate it, despite how narrow minded you are.

Spoiler!

Just bc chief isn’t the only main character doesn’t mean it’s a bad campaign, ODST and Reach were great campaigns.

This Campaign revolves around the Master Chief, but that doesn’t mean you’ll play as him. Just because you only play as him for three missions doesn’t mean it will be a bad story.

It’s people like you who caused such an uproar with the Arbiter in halo 2 that caused Bungie to cut off the Arbiter from the majority of Halo 3.

lets lock(e) this thread  lololo

It does kinda suck that there’s only 3 MC missions. That being said its not the end of the world. The campaign still has plenty of promise.

Bet all the locke fans are riveted by this

i dont know how factual this is…

Ok, so how would you do the story when chief is AWOL and Locke is sent to find Chief?

Its disappointing but im sure the game will still be fun. You may only play as chief in 3 missions but the game is still all about him. Its either be him or hunt him. Sounds good to me either way
