So I jumped into a social game trying to chill and have fun playing halo, but got pretty dissapointed.
I can’t believe the amount of try hards on that playlist, -Yoinking!- cowards who don’t have the balls to tryhard on a ranked playlist.

Maybe they are having a few warm up games or don’t want the stress of playing ranked at the time so they are just playing social for fun as you are expect fun to them is doing well and winning even if there are no ranks involved please get over it OP.

Yes but why would anyone bother? As ranked playlist calculate you K/D separate for each playlist no one is going to think you are good because you play social only and have a high K/D when you actual ranked K/D is kept separate for all to see in the individual playlists.

Many people, including myself, warned people that this would happen. I don’t condone you calling people try-hards because they won the game, since that is the sole reason for playing the gametype. Winning to me is fun, I don’t go full in social playlists, but I still try and win the game. Not sure why else you would join the game to not try and win. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Haha wow, I almost always play ranked but I almost wanna go into Social now and troll people(WIN) just so I can drink the salty tears of people like you.
Why do you care about tryhards if your in social, 90% of social games are normally one team decimating the other due to a lack of a skilled search feature. Ranked matches are better because you get paired with people you have a chance to beat rather than against a team that you cant do anything against.
I’ll be honest, in previous Halo’s, I never knew there was such a thing as social playlists. I didn’t know that people played it any differently than any other game types.

I play to have fun and I have fun when I’m winning and have at least a positive k/d. I get disappointed and frustrated when my k/D is negative, not because of an arbitrary number, but because every fight I get into I’m dying more than I’m killing.
I guess what I’m saying is that if I play BTB, or Arena, I’m going to play to have fun, and I’m not going to go easy just so someone else feels good that they killed me.
Play for fun. Play to win.

One person’s try-hard is another persons I don’t care game. I’m pretty sure an Onyx player just messing around in Social with friends would seem like a try-hard to a Silver or Gold ranked player.

Yes, I 100 percent agree with you. I have many friends who don’t enjoy playing ranked with me since I’m ranked Onyx in the majority of playlists. So it’s nice to have a playlist where there are no ranks and everyone can play together without worrying your friends will be massacred by the other Onyx players. If i notice the other team is decent and is team shooting, etc. then I may try a little harder in the social playlist to compete with the other team. My goal is to win, not to destroy the other team, because I know the majority of the people we are playing against are not in the Onyx ranks.

i have always liked social better than ranked, so i play social 100% of the time. do i try hard? sometimes, but i play social because it’s more fun for me and if i do good don’t sue me over it.
I’ll be honest. I’m a pretty good player and generally when I get into social i’m either the best in there or top 3. (not bragging cause its social but it’s hard not to notice). I like to use it as warm up matches before I go ranked. Or, sometimes I wanna play stress free.
I love playing social cause it literally doesnmt matter if I do well or not but at the same time I do end up doing really well. Am I suppose to play really bad when I join social? To me that’s part of what I like. I could be playing a champion taht I would almost never have a chance to face in ranked but I guess this guy thinks social is suppose to be amateur hour only…

Agreed completely, especially during a game of regular warzone, I was working on the Ghost Marauder today, and it needed one more shot of a railgun to kill it, while the gun charged up, some blue teamer ran up, spartan charged me, took my railgun and killed it. After that game I decided to go do some SWAT, bad idea, I did the small boost backwards to escape a red team player, but there was some other person on my team behind me, I got killed since they were in my way, and they got the kill, they deserved ¬.¬
