I can't believe I'm saying this...

I never thought I would see the day when bloom actually worked and did what it was supposed to. WAY better than ZB IMO. Too much spamming in ZB, and doesn’t work with DMR period. <3 343i!

except for the part where it does. It’s equivalent to a halo 2 battle rifle. what part of that doesn’t appeal to you?

ZB and the new reduced bloom work fine. IMO, 343 found a sweet spot with the reduced bloom settings. Games with the new reduced bloom feel perfect, its how reach should have felt from the begining. The ZB is a bit more hardcore, if you enjoyed H2 then you will feel right at home with ZB settings. I think these new settings are a big shock for players who started playing Halo with Reach and carelessly wander around the map with armor abilities. These new settings force players to think before making a move.

the game is now about who see’s who first and who is better at spamming the trigger?

You cant honestly believe that ZB takes more skill than bloom. ZB = Spam as hard as u can for a kill close or long range.

Bloom = Place your shots and actually win based on ability.

im glad these changes wont takeover reach. These TU modifications are a step BACKWARDS and making halo a less skilled spam fest where so many weapons are useless when compared to the DMR, NR and Magnum.

> except for the part where it does. It’s equivalent to a halo 2 battle rifle. what part of that doesn’t appeal to you?

If I wanted to still be playing Halo 2, I would be. What part about Halo:Reach not being Halo 2 doesn’t appeal to you?
You know, coming back to these forums reminds me of why I left. Everyone wants the Halo of their choice. Kids who were 15 to 20 when Halo 2 came out, want Halo 2 back. Those who were over 20 when the orignal Halo released have a craving for the slower moving Halo:CE.

I just can’t stand this wanting to try and bring back the older games. If these updates are actually going to always be in their own hopper, or part of a rotation of somekind, I don’t care what 343i does. But if they do become like older updates that utterly destroy the entire game and make it play like some kids dream game Halo 2; you can count me out.

(And MLGs absession with recreating Halo 2 with every new Halo release, drives me nuts!)

You are completely right. Everyone had a halo game where they were “pro” or really great. They cant get that experience out of the new halo’s out of lacking adaptation ability.

SO they say the game is broken and beg for changes. Im just glad it will be in its own section so i dont have to play spam the trigger on a guy before he can even get to cover or fight me back XD

I enjoy every weapon having almost the same ability to kill someone, not just 2 rifles and a pistol dominating.

P.S. Im a girl XD

And I guarantee I will beat you every time.

You complain about “spamming to see who wins first” and yet that’s what we still have with bloom.
Kids spam spam spam and 5/10 times the kid who spams beats the guy who times his shots.

You show me a formula for bloom, because there isn’t one. as bloom increased the randomness of a shot registering or not registering increases. And its always different (assuming you dont pull host)

with zero bloom you know what do expect. You shoot, you strafe. If my reticle is on your forhead, and you cannot place yours over mine, I should kill you every time.

they are called reflexes and awareness. Reach and “bloom” slows down the pace of a game to compensate for other players who can’t handle fast paced gameplay and fail at doing so in that the dmr shots are RANDOM

Not exactly. See, in Halo 2 and 3 the reticule was so much bigger that they didn’t need bloom for it to be balanced.

There is a difference with adaptations for more balanced gameplay and completely removing what made a game good. Poor players will always complain about fast killing weapons.

There’s a reason when MLG was designed they don’t all spawn with rocket launchers.

you can’t sit there and say that bloom isn’t random.

people enjoy competitive gameplay because of an equal playing field.
It is not my fault you got schooled in older Halo’s.

I know you are well aware that Reach was designed for the “social player” in order to allow a broader range of accesibility in the market.

-there is 1 ranked playlist
-there is no true skill
-you achieve a rank for “playing” win or lose

I guess thats why i almost always come out of DMR battles the winner? idk about you but i know when to spam when to pace and how to move while shooting the dmr.

To many play halo reach like halo 3 and thats why you suffer from this myth that kids that spam kill u 50% of the time XD After 2 months of reach i consistently got better. I consistently kill my opponent when i focus. I consistently out DMR players that just spam randomly.

Im not going to sit here and argue with you. If you like ZB so much just go and play it. Its not going to affect my experience at all. For the third time i thank 343i for seperating the crybabies from the people that evolved with reach so there can be less conflict. The sad part about all this is we are now a community divided. And it will probably be the same way in halo 4.

> Not exactly. See, in Halo 2 and 3 the reticule was so much bigger that they didn’t need bloom for it to be balanced.

I will admit that in Reach the hitboxes are just stupid. They have made accuracy play a much less signifigant part in the game. Everybody on here knows that when you play Reach you think your sniper is just PRO because you make shots you could “never make”

wonder why that is…?

o wait! thanks to Bungie being more concerned with what shoulder pads master chief looks cute in, that they ruined hit boxes.

the gungir helment is huge compared to the security, but that’d be unfair to have varied hit boxes. the security armor, WOW its huge. and that is why you can shoot next to a person and still have it register as a hit

I am going to take a moment to point out several things:P

first off please refrain from claiming that you “win most dmr fights by timing your shots”

as we see here:

http://www.bungie.net/stats/reach/careerstats/weapons.aspx?player=TsumiyaUraNeko&vc=3

you actually have a negative KD with ur dmr, so you just suck

furthermore:

http://halocharts.com/reach.php?player=TsumiyaUraNeko

you can’t even manage a win loss ratio of over 50%

the only reason your KD is even positive is due to your banshee spamming.

the best part about this is you are an inheritor, and you fail to even place in the arena.

lets also note that you couldn’t even get to a 45 in halo 3.

you are the prime example of a piss poor halo player, and you have always been awful.
therefore the only “division” that has existed was between you and GOOD PLAYERS.
and now its coming back.

you have no right to even speak of “being a skilled player” btw you’ve only managed to win 6/15 of ur TU games, so I can see why your mad
