I am so tired of being screwed over in this terrible awful -Yoink- joke of a multiplayer game. EVERY -Yoinking!- match I play in this steaming pile of -Yoink- game goes black screen. Black screen every time. EVERY TIME. The melee system is a joke. I feel like I am doing the tango with a spartan every time I try to melee them. There is so much wrong with this multiplayer its not even funny. Host obviously exists. Everything goes your way or else it doesn’t. I can’t believe a game like this doesnt have dedicated servers. Microsoft gives you a blank check to make this game happen and this is what we get? Halo 4 had a good story I love the forerunner stuff but the multiplayer is broken and far from what halo should be. Everyone knows it too I feel sorry for all the blind fanboys who still support this game. The only thing halo has going for it in 343’s hands is the reclaimer story. The multiplayer can -Yoink!- -Yoink-. 343, what in the hell is it with you and trying to be different and separate from Bungie and trying to define yourselves as a studio that is in charge of a colossal game like Halo? You try to tweak every little thing until it is just a shell of its former glory. If it’s not broke then don’t fix it!!!

I feel like multiplayer has gotten worse with each passing day. I enjoyed it for like a week it was out and now every time I play it I end up wanting to snap my disc in half. It always sounds like a good idea to play some halo with my friend online and it never fails we end up pissed off and wishing 343 would burn to the ground. and anyone else associated with the multiplayer.

Why am I even replying…?
I completely disagree with the “melee system is broken” part. Or you’re mad because Melee Bleed-through = no run up and double pummel. At least it gives it a good window too counter that bad behavior.
As for your ‘black screening’ yes, it does suck, but every game that uses this type of networking (CoD most notably) also has the same issue.
The reason we don’t use dedicated servers is because there is a small amount of players per game, and 16-players max in a server is impractical.
If you want too be the host, get better internets.
Until then, shut it, sit it, and play it.
343 will deliver, they just need their fanbase too be supportive, and patient. Emphasis on PATIENT.
Feel the same sometimes. People say it’s Certain Affinity’s fault. I don’t necessarily agree, but then again 343 shouldn’t have pawned off the entire multiplayer dev to them in the first place.

Shut it sit it and play it? Sounds to me like one of the blind fanboys I was talking about. You are a sheep. Melee is broken. You shouldnt have to dance around with another player until someone finally hits the other. As for double pummel, 343 could just implement a mechanic that doesn’t allow a rapid succession of melees after an initial melee connects it’s simple as that. But this IS 343 we are talking about here. How many total players does gears 3 have per match? Pretty sure its not more than Halo can have yet they had dedicated servers and no one every had host and the multiplayer played so smoothly. As for me dying a lot? My K/D isn’t terrible but its not good. I owe a lot of my deaths to the -Yoink- that happens on a daily basis. When I get host I usually get over 25 kills and less than 7 deaths. But my deaths are not the reason behind my rage. It is the broken infinity multiplayer

You seem to be a little misinformed… your K/D is terrible.
We wanted the double melee nerfed and it was nerfed, I’m fine with the way the melee system works right now. It’s created a emphasis on gun play rather than running at another person and trying to beat them into a pulp with the side of your gun, and that is what we asked for.
So apparently K/D is directly proportional to how Halo 4’s multiplayer can appeal to an individual? I am going to assume you have a higher K/D than me otherwise you wouldn’t be going on about it so I guess I should assume that you love Halo 4’s multiplayer too since you keep countering my points. Why don’t you list off all the good things about Halo 4’s multiplayer and what makes it fun to play because I’m not seeing it. I need some good examples. List alllll of them.

No. You’ve heard what happened at GDC. They clearly think that what they have done to this game is the right thing to do. Support might not even be the answer at this stage to change things it might be deserting and buying the next game or it might be constructive criticism but how of often to they listen to the common word? Almost never. They might as well tell us they don’t care but no they have to make money and keep people believing in false views to cash in.

What tips do you have to give me so the game will be better and I won’t have to get mad over black screen every -Yoinking!- match, bullet magnetism, host privileges, vehicles flipping over and doing summersaults when they hit a pebble on the ground, being slowed down when trying to run for cover while being shot at, having the DMR overpower at any range, having a sticky detonator not kill them when blown right at their feet, having the assault rifle bloom and only manage to take shields down before the DMR beats you to the kill, having rocket bullets curve into opponents (yes I have witnessed my rocket launcher missles curve in mid-air towards an oppoent TWICE and it still pissed me off even though it was in my favor), and on and on and on. There is so much wrong with the multiplayer. But apparently it all revolves around my K/D and stats, not the mechanics of the game.

don’t get me wrong mate, im not saying the stats r the problem
and the rockets don’t curve thats ridiculous
my point here is, i don’t know if u notice, but if u have so many problems with the main weapons (like the DMR) to have that negative stats then that means theres something u r doing wrong
maybe u just need to improve ur strafe, or be more patience, nothing else
oh and normally a pissed person (in any game)use to make a lot of mistakes ad don’t concentrate
i used to have even sometimes like 5 death in a row in a match with no kills, but then i calm down and i comeback to have only kills
the point is not getting mad and learn from mistakes, just that
