Like really we could go down a long list of things that sound way cooler then that. Like I could do with just the word competitive but war games just sounds like a child came up with it. This isn’t even trolling you an I couldn’t come up with something original an not so blunt. I could still cope with Multiplayer because that sounds fine. The gist i’m trying to make out is it sounds like its taken lightly almost like sugar coating it or trying to be cute.

^yup we did them in the army often. seeing as how multiplayer is really training on the infinity I would say it makes sense. Its kinda like getting mad a the people who named the Orange. How “creative” was that huh? Some things don’t have to be creative, they just make sense. -_-
The name means nothing to me. However I still find it hilarious they thought they needed a “reason” for multiplayer. When I’m wrecking -Yoink- on XBL I don’t think “Gee, I sure am glad to know that my actions have a limited canonical effect on the Halo Universe!” I think “GET REKT KID.”

War Games sounds better then 3/4’s of what you just listed. MatchMaking being the only thing worth suggesting.
Uh in the game they are called war games because they simulate war battles through virtual games…What are they supposed to call it “VIRTUAL REALITY GAMES THAT SIMULATE WAR BATTLES” ya no
I’ve actually come to the conclusion that 343 is, in general, AWFUL at naming things. ‘War Games’ is pretty dumb, ‘Spartan Ops’ is extremely generic and a disservice to its otherwise innovative and unique structure, ‘UNSC Infinity’ is kinda cheesy and totally lame compared to other ship names (Pillar of Autumn, Forward Unto Dawn, In Amber Clad), ‘Requiem’ is okay but not very noteworthy, and ‘Infinity Slayer’ is probably the greatest offender in childish, stupid–Yoink- names for things.
NOTE: I don’t actually dislike any of these things, they’re just dumb names lol
