…and go back to infection with normal looking Spartans. I want the features and customization brought back form original infection but I DO NOT want the removal of the awesome, awesome flood model, sounds, and atmosphere just to go back to the boring Spartans with swords.
I’m sorry but anyone who wants the removal of flood aesthetics needs to
a: open their eyes or
b: leave and never comeback

Perhaps you might find this thread useful based upon your opinion .
Not only do I prefer Flood for its aesthetics, but I also like it for it’s core settings. It’s a lot more frantic and fast paced. Even when just one zombie is after you, you all of a sudden get an adrenaline rush. Flood is a very, very challenging mode and I definitely prefer it over classic infection. All it needs is more customization options.
Speaking of Flood/Infection, loadouts may suck for the most part, and it should definitely be kept out of all the main playlists, but it’s still good for certain casual gametypes like Flood/Infection. Instead of taking them out completely, they should still be kept in as an option for gametype settings.
> As long as there’s a custom option to turn off the flood skin, I don’t care.
This. Its kinda hard to make a predator game mode when your character makes that high pitched shriek whenever he kills someone. Of course this is assuming customs don’t suck for Halo 5.
In all honesty though, just giving us both would be best. Flood was cool, but lacked some customizable things and OG infection was cool, but lacked the unique flood twist.
Best case scenario is that you can toggle the Flood look in custom game settings, though- since Infection was often used to represent more than just zombie gametypes. It had very unique and useful settings that made for some great non-zombie custom games. So those gametypes could benefit without the Flood look.
Mbut definitely keep it for the main zombie gametypes, since it’s just great

If we had accurate combat form models, then it would be impossible/too easy to get headshots due to the head lolling about and the actual infection form being centre of mass. Plus, 343 would have to code a whole new hitbox.
AS for other weapons, that shouldn’t be that hard. All the devs need to do is take the regular model of the weapon and add some Flood biomass onto it, then shove it in Flood.

And? It’s flood/infection not mlg.
Also they don’t have to be exactly the same, pretty much everything is better than h4’s. Flood is very variable…
i agree the flood spartan models were great and i’d like to see them stay. if they just make them customizable i think alot the hate for them will go away.
> Keep the Flood skin and bring back alpha zombies as the default flood mode, rather than the thruster abomination.
I disagree. Thrusters made Flood/Infection a lot more frantic and fast paced. It made the game a lot more challenging, and it was very balanced between both sides. Reach’s default Infection sucks because the Zombies are completely underpowered. You can’t easily camp in Flood like you can in normal Infection, and that’s the beauty of it. It’s actually pretty difficult.
the Flood should be an optional skin for the infected players. totally customizable in custom games, but in matchmaking only used for gametypes where the infected don’t have any weapon but melee.
any other variant of infection where the infected have weapons, it’s just a normal green spartan.

For me it was too fast. The whole point of the game mode is survival, and every dies in Flood after about 2 minutes on average. The original infection was the most popular, which is why it was so popular in Reach, because it was sort of similar.
It is like if everyone died in the first episode of walking dead, not much of a survival.
