i mean, I know it wasn’t everyone’s favourite, but it was a really fun way to get around the map, I don’t know how it would even be incorporated into Halo 5, but I had lots of fun with it

Here’s what I have to say to you.

Jetpacks completely destroyed Halo and how it was played. Map control? Just jetpack straight up in the air. Just spawned? Jetpack straight up into the air.

Jetpacks are probably one of the worst things to ever happen to Halo, right up there with bloom, armor lock, the dumb air drop things from H4.

I hate it but it should be in a playlist of it’s own but I love the jetpack I just hate when the enemy uses it

If they put it in Warzone as an armor ability or whatever they are called these days then fine, but it can’t be part of regular arena.

I want it back as well. Makes for getting to some epic sniping spots and hiding places.

I was never a big fan of jetpacks. I don’t really care to see them return except to be part of an Action Sack playlist, but let’s wait until we actually get an Action Sack playlist first.

That is what I am saying… ranked play no to jet packs… but social stuff sure why not.

People are just so anti-Armor Abilities that they refuse to see the good things they added to the social aspects of Halo. I for one had a pretty big smile on my face when I leapt across a giant chasm with the Bullfrogs for the first time.

Hahahaha good one, Jet Packs can go burn in a glorious Bonfire. I don’t even want them in Social playlists, because the memories of playing Dino Blasters on Reach stained my mind, or when they added Jetpack Grifball in Reach. I’d shoot myself before having it return.

Some armor abilities could be used as Armor Mods to replace your thrusters in Warzone:

  • Hologram - Bubble Shield - Armor Lock (though I hate it a lot, people want it back…) - Hardlight Shield - Jetpack - Land Mine - Regeneration Field

Loved the jet pack. I understand how zipping straight up in the air brakes the game in some eyes, but whatever. At least that was predicable and easily punishable unlike armor lock.

By the prophets, please don’t condemn us to such a future. Armor lock, Bubble shield, and Hardlight shield?! I would prefer armor abilities to never return, however I find the Jetpack an unusual exception.

It really opened up some fun custom games options. I would love to see it return as a vehicle instead of an ability. It would not be found in any ranked or competive playlist (this includes social playlists like BTB and grifball), but it would be fun to see a unique game type utilizing it in an action sack playlist.
