So, I see some files I want to download on Chrisco93’s fileshare. I add him to friends so I can view his profile, and access his file share. What does his fileshare have, NOTHING!

Why, 343, WHY haven’t you added the Halo 3/ODST files to the system yet?

Because Bungie.net hasn’t updated since April 1st 2012, when 343 took complete control of Halo. Its more than likely that the guy you added has since removed what you wanted from his fileshare.
343 said from the start that they would no longer be tracking detailed stats, fileshares, file rendering etc for Halo 3. And with Halo 3 having very little support/updates now, chances are they never will.

To clarify, they are still tracking all that stuff, but it isn’t being displayed publicly as largely as Bungie did.

Only the stats are tracked (loosely). Halo 3 fileshares are not on Halo Waypoint. Neither is the video rendering, which was a Bungie only option.

Just because it isn’t on the website doesn’t mean it isn’t being tracked behind the scenes.
It is but it isn’t publicly displayed anywhere.
As for video rendering, it was announced a while back that wouldn’t be returning for any game, well - for the foreseeable future.
