When I first saw the promotional clips and material they were putting out to hype the game up i was crazy excited to try the skewer. I had always said a brute sniper that fired a big spike would make sense and they finally added it to a halo game. On top of that it was an anti vehicle weapon too, it was literally everything I ever wanted.
The game came out and the skewer is a big piece of garbage and I hate it. Half the time the weapon hits someone but does nothing because of desync, and they run around with a spike sticking out of their head, or it’s lodged in a vehicle’s armor. What looks like direct hits just flat out miss. You can lead and account for drop and it still does it.
Then, and this is what makes me the most angry, the absolute worst players imaginable are gods with it. Little Jimmy who can’t even figure out the sprint button can no scope you with it across the map for some reason. It’s like the worse a player is, the more this game compensates and gives them free hits with weapons that should require more skill.
I’m not even going to bring up how they nerfed it so that it really doesn’t do much to vehicles anymore outside of the wasp or banshee, because what’s the point. By the time you reload that second shot to fight a warthog you’re dead.
I am disappointed
