Hi all,
Since the free play days have started I am able to play without my game disc.
Will this be permanent with a periodic disc check or is it safe to assume that this will revert to the way it was after free play days ends?

Unless you purchase a digital copy. You will need the disc.

Soon the Master Xbox will demand the disc and as a good slave, you will have to insert it and fulfill his wishes.

That sucks…I may have to buy the digital version before the sale ends .

having the digital version is great but you might get lucky and it just glitches allowing you to not need the disc like it did for a lot of people when ttk came out for destiny

It really is convenient not having to take the disc out of the game box.
I think my drive is chewing up the center of the game disc too, which is my main drive for wanting the digital version .

I thought the freshma play days were only extended one extra day and ended yesterday on the 6th instead of the 5th.

It’s probably down to time-zones. I’m sure in some regions people were probably playing on the 7th or 6th.

Thanks. I guess I’ll have to wait till tomorrow to know for sure. Although, xbox usually updates the store at midnight or early in the morning, for me, at least.

Before Xbox one was released we were never supposed to use a disc ever again except when we first would have to install it, but crybabies whined and complained about always having to be online even though they’re online 24/7 anyway.

whats amazing is finally finding someone who wants their games to not work when the internet goes out.
thank god they listened after we pitched a fit. having to be always online is freaking ridiculously stupid.

Funny, like 90 % all games now require an online connection. And what’s also funny, is the majority don’t play when their internet goes out because the majority play ONLINE multi-player.

got anything to back this up or is it all conjecture? i dont see how you can say the majority of people that play video games are all playing multiplayer games only. this may be news to you but there are a ton of people who play games that dont even offer a multiplayer mode
