Only those with the Physical copy can play offline since they have the activation code in the Disc instead of it being sent over the Interwebz after 27th

Only disc unless you want to slide your digital code forcefully into your Xbox one then no.

Is it possible to play Halo 5 with out updating the game with the day one patch? I just want to play the campaign. Is that even possible without doing the update of the day one patch?
