You don’t have to rewrite the code. Just the way it puts the parties together.
If you only pair the odd parties with odd parties, then send them to even numbered parties,
you will never be sitting waiting with 5 or7 players for five minutes for a match.
Also it cuts the calculations down a ton.

Your arguments make sense. But you are making some awful assumptions about all the other -Yoink- that goes into it… Perhaps its not possible to do a simple re-write like that. Or maybe they are making a similar change with the bigger update that is supposed to be getting beta tested and released soon. Which i scoff at btw, since when have we needed to beta test patches?? Hopefully its a total-rewrite they have been working on since before the original release and not just “over the past few weeks.”
