I Bought MCC On XBOX But I Can't Play It On PC. This Is Ridiculous

On XBOX it’s called the “Microsoft Store” and that’s where I bought MCC. But if I go to the “Microsoft Store” on PC it acts like I don’t own the game. Nowhere does the listing say anything about only being able to play on XBOX unless you count the “Play Anywhere” badge being absent.

If I own the game I should be able to play the damn game on both platforms.

My XBOX broke (the GPU died) so I can only play on PC now.

This doesn’t apply in a majority of cases and isn’t unique to MCC.

If you buy a copy of Stardew Valley for example on Steam, that doesn’t mean you get to play it on your Switch / iPhone / Xbox. You have to repurchase it on various platforms.

When you select what game you want if you scroll down to details under technical capabilities it has to say Xbox play anywhere. If it doesn’t have that then it is Xbox only.

Is MCC even on the Microsoft store on PC? I’m pretty sure it’s just Steam and Xbox.

Yes

You’re completely missing my point. It’s the same store, I’m just trying to play on my PC instead of an XBOX

But it’s on XBOX and PC. If you buy something from a store that is used on both platforms then I should be able to play it through the same store no matter if I bought it on my XBOX or PC

It’s utter bullcrap, if I bought it on XBOX just give me a license to play it on a PC. I shouldn’t have to pay for the same game twice when it’s the same store

If the version you are buying doesn’t say “from anywhere” then you can’t play from anywhere. You can’t assume a game you buy is game from anywhere. Gotta be extra careful when purchasing ANYTHING online on exactly what you are getting.

It wouldn’t be impossible or very difficult for them to make it an Xbox Play Anywhere title. I was gifted Remnant: From the Ashes for Xbox years ago, and it became playable on the Xbox app for me sometime in the last 6 months at random.

i love people throwing a tantrum over something which is tottaly on themself and demand others to do something about it

So the way 343 decided to release MCC on PC is its not a Play Anywhere title between Xbox and Microsoft Store on PC, same with the Steam versions as well (but thats obvious). Because MCC was originally released on Xbox One only, the PC version required separate studios working on the collection years later which is why its not a Play Anywhere title and they have to pay the studio that made this…
