i betrayed a teammate for the purpose of…in BTIS pro on Complex when the sniper spawned and i was going for the sniper but i saw another guy heading for it so i was being kind and backed off like i normally do when i see someone going for something and i know i can go without it. So this teammate gets the sniper and i get the ghost -So i started to ride out when i hear gun fire and i turn around and see another teammate attempting to kill the guy i just let get the sniper.
You Know what they say…
Remember Reach!
So i charged up the ghost and killed that -Yoink-./ technically he evaded me and we had a 3 second fight before he throw a frag at me bounced off of my ghost and into his face. I was happy to not get a real betrayal but in a way i did get him killed. SO this guy takes it apon himself to ruin the game for us. Running into enemy fire thoughtlessly, attempting to kill steal and betray me on sight. I didn’t get his gamer tag but i have to say…people are still raging about the one weapon that they didn’t get. I remember when i was in middle school playing Halo 3 and ii got mad when someone took the Brute shot or the carbine but i didn’t kill them for it.
So i ask, was what i did the good thing even though it cost us the game?
If you take the sniper and then hop into a ghost you’re doing something wrong in 2013
> If you take the sniper and then hop into a ghost you’re doing something wrong in 2013
Sigh read it again he let his teamate have the sniper
> If you take the sniper and then hop into a ghost you’re doing something wrong in 2013
wait…what…i must of typed something wrong because i was going for the sniper but i let a guy get it so i went for hte ghost instead.
I didn’t have the sniper a teammate did and another guy tried to betray him so i killed hte guy going for the teammate with the sniper.

Respect mate i went and killed every last whining ‘I want the sniper’ 5 year olds who betrayed people for weapons
Good to see the community still has some good people
A lot of people are very childish when playing this series, unfortunately.
I generally come down hard on people who team kill because they don’t like it when someone grabs “their” gun. It’s selfish, immature and unsporting.
I don’t betray them. I just follow them around getting in their way, until such time as they are cleaned up by the other team or quit.
If a team mate kills me for the gun I’m using, I’ll be -Yoink!- if I’m gonna let them use it.

“I want the sniper… I want it! I WANT THE SNIPER!”
“That’s my Warthog. NO!!! IT’S MINE!!! IT’S MY WARTHOOOOGGGGG!!!”
“I want the Rocket Launcher! Give it to me!!! Screaming initiates GIVE ME THE FRICKING ROCKET LAUNCHER!!!”
I’m seriously getting annoyed by people like that.

In reach id get them to kill me so I could boot them usually was the people who thought they were good at sniping but missed every shot
There could not be anything I miss less than sniper betrayals

same here brother.
I played a BT game on Settler a few days ago, guy was going around betraying my whole team. He got me, and then a box popped up that offered the chance to kick him. I selected “Yes” and I guess enough others had too, and he was booted from the game.
I didn’t know that mechanic was even built into Halo, but I gotta say I wish it would pop up sooner. After someone pulls two or three betrayals it should start asking “You wanna boot this guy” not wait until he’s done it for the first five minutes solid.

Rarely have I ever seen a good player doing this.
In previous Halos I used to sit and descope them every couple of seconds or just block their line of sight. When they died I would grab the weapon in question and fire the shots off into the air when they inevitably came back for it.
I was born to troll trolls.

The boot mechanic is nowhere near as strict as it used to be. Making it more relaxed was a mistake IMO.

I hate it when a chap picks up the sniper and then does that…
Why?
I was speaking generally so maybe that guy did deserve to get betrayed

No you were wrong in the first place when you tried for a splatter instead of just shooting the guy with the cannons on the ghost.
You cost your team the game by your poor choice. Unless you are under heavy fire splatters are usually always the worst choice vs shooting the enemy with the ghost.
