I believe that by or at the end it will turn out that it’s the Precursors behind the entire thing and that they’re controlling The Didact. I think the story will be based around The Composer, and the Precursors saved for another time, kinda like how we always knew about Forerunners, and now we are just now seeing them. (Prometheans Knights are Forerunner civilians)

The symbol that appears when the voice says, “I have long awaited this day Reclaimer,” was the Didact symbol turning upside down, whether it was Ur or Bornsteller, I do not know. The Composer apperently is supposed to be the big ball with red that you see in the campaign gameplay at E3, I forgot where I heard that, maybe it was a picture of it with the Composer tag. The Composer is either an enemy, or one that puts Cortana into a monitor to save her or just fixes her, either way.
