I believe this has been posted before but....

I’m honestly concerned about online playability for Halo 4, the sample’s at E3 where local (LAN) so no lag could be present for the game’s. Now people have said “have dedicated servers” but let’s take a look at Gear’s of War 3. What happened when the first DLC hit the game? Those who bought it got to play on dedicated servers while those who did not buy the DLC, played on bad hosting. (I should know I played with some people who didn’t have it before was really bad) The same thing happened when the Second and third DLC pack’s came out, now Gear’s 3 has a TDM No DLC playlist for those that can’t afford or can only get one pack at a limited time.

If Halo 4 is going to be the same as Reach with Peer-to-peer then we have a problem. Yes there will be games where no lag is present but what about those game that do have it? Would dedicated servers force people to buy the DLC if they didn’t want to play with bad hosting like Gears 3 did?

There are no dedicated servers for Halo 4.

Reach’s multiplayer netcode was really good, so honestly I don’t think this is a real problem.

I’m more worried about Spartan Ops’ netcode, though, because if it’s like what we got with firefight… Well I hope it’ll be better.
