About my thread, “Thanks 343”, I took the time to read and realize what I had done. I was angry, hotheaded, and short tempered. After reading the Warning I received after doing it, I realized what I had done. I sincerely apologize, and I hope that you guys at 343 can forgive me. I do know now that y’all are fixing up Halo 4 and there is a lot to be done. And the people who replied are right; the Majestic Map Pack does have the coolest maps.

He may of seen it as somewhat rude due to the use of sarcasm

I think that’s a little oversensitive in all honesty. Sure, it wasn’t exactly “constructive”, but offensive?

Well we all have bad days, maybe the mod was having a bad day and was more inclined to go a tad bit overboard.

If that’s the case I think the Mod should be apologizing to him.
I would dispute that warning because quite frankly that’s an abuse of power, and in my opinion you should never buckle down and submit to things like that as they set a clear precedent.
Moderating must be frustrating sometimes with spammers and trolls, but that post did not deserve a warning for being offensive.
I don’t agree that you did anything offensive. I disagree with the warning. I have personally posted much more scathing remarks and did not get a warning (of course, I was verbally giving them a spanking they deserved, LOL).
I also think you should put together the monies to purchase all DLC, to keep your right to tell a merchant, in this case 343i, what you as a customer want, and require. In that case, I agree that 343i should start requiring players to have the DLC.

Don’t be intimidated by the mods. You should never be ashamed or embarrassed of your own opinions. You have a right to voice your opinions about Halo 4, positive or negative. The fact that you were censored for such a comment it utterly ridiculous.
I’m not sure why your post was marked as non-constructive. It was sarcastic, yes. But, it’s still constructive criticism. Why does Infinity Slayer need to be marked as requiring Majestic DLC? In my personal opinion that is a very… peculiar… requirement (I would say dumb, but I don’t really want a ‘non-constructive’ warning.) In my opinion, you voiced your opinion and it was shut down. Yes, your opinion could’ve been voiced better, but 343 IS restricting something that has been for all Halo 4 players, regardless of DLC ownership, since day one and they should be able to accept both praise and criticism. I have no care for a company that forces restrictions on their players and shuts out anyone who tells them it’s a bad idea.
I have one question though, that’s the tiniest bit off-topic. Is JUST IS going to be restricted, or is BTIS going to be restricted, too? If I were 343, I would leave the most played gametype online untouched. People are going to be very pissed (including me) if they just start restricting people left and right just because they don’t feel like getting DLC. Please don’t pull a Fable 3 on us, 343!
now by reading some random crossover fanfic’s that relaid to halo makes me wanting go back playing halo 4 again
OP - We appreciate the sentiment, we do. In the future, I suggest PM’ing the mod back. It’s nice to get apologies or “My bad” instead of hate every now and then.
As for the rest of you - Let’s be clear. We don’t moderate or warn/ban for “Offensive” posts unless someone posts seriously inappropriate content, links or otherwise. The post was nonconstructive as it didn’t do anything to foster a discussion, positive or otherwise. You can disagree with decisions in a way that actually spurs discussion rather than purely venting. If you want to vent, get a twitter or a blog or something. This is not your personal venting space.
You guys all should know better by now that discussing the moderation openly is a no go. If you have issues, you can send any of us a PM and we’ll talk about it. Or if you’d rather, you can PM bs angel or Forum Team even.
