I suck at this map so much, im a free kill on this map i am absolutely terrible.
I feel as if im always exposed, cant runaway, and when i shoot someone they go into disappear. With the instant respawn and spawing with the DMR every battle is long range this would make a good classic playlist i think im not feeling it for infinity slayer
i like despair more than relay
I’ve enjoyed every game I have played on Relay, it’s a great 4v4 map that plays well!

Playing all these maps at 1st felt great but i cant stand infinity slayer so im done with this playlist
I like the maps not the gametypes
If you want to provide feedback on the maps, they each have official feedback threads in the Matchmaking section. Here’s the thread for Relay.

Where did you find this…is there one for each map
I think Relay is definitely in the running for one of the worst 3 maps in all of Halo. Its that bad.
One map on Erosion was really, really fun to play to me on the other hand!

Ditto. Super fun, fast paced, people complain about its structure but I have to say it is perfectly balanced. Staying along the outer rim with a dmr or sniper works great, but if you want some close quarters action you can dish it out in the centre. Yes you will get mowed down if you go in the centre alone or if nobody is there for you to shoot but that just adds to the strategy required. The centre portion of the map is great for automatic/cqc fights while the outside is for long range combat.

It is not fast paced, as you are forced to stay all the way on the outside of the map. It is literally the slowest map design possible since it forces players to stay as far apart as possible.
Yes. The giant open bowl ring open middle of death area map design is balanced just fine. That’s true. I would hope so considering its a symmetrical map…
You cannot “dish it out in the center.” There is no cover in the center, and no easy way to get out either. You have to run up ramps going even MORE into the deadly open center, to get out of the deadly open center to the outer ring edges of the map. Its reaching around your back to touch your elbow.
“You will get mowed down if you go in the center alone just adds to the strategy required” does NOT add strategy… that REDUCES strategy because it FORCES players to stay in the outer ring edges of the map!
It is one of the worst maps I have ever seen in Halo. Its just an open area of DEATH, with FAR too much cover on the outer edges.

Maybe you just had a bad game. The game I had on it everyone on both teams were in the centre using automatic weapons and dmr’s, it was awesome!
I said if the other team is in the centre then auto wep firefights are very fun and easy to win, obviously you shouldn’t go into “the deadly open centre” if no one else is, you’re just asking to get killed. If you get an ordnance drop consisting of a sword or hammer and people are in the centre then it’s easy pickings. This map is BY FAR from the worst of halo matchmaking maps. Sword base from reach and Complex of halo 4 are the worst I’ve ever played, this is easily 1000 times better!
Which arm are you trying to reach around with? Putting your left or right arm behind you and touching the opposite elbow is quite easy. Or do you mean touching the your right elbow using your right hand? Because that’s impossible; for me anyway.

I didn’t have a bad game. My team won, and I could tell everybody knew what they were doing. Both teams had better than average players for some reason, because everyone figured out the middle was completely open and a death trap as a result extremely fast in the game. I got a laugh out of picking off the last couple of players who were the slowest to figure that out though!
The other team will never be in the center, unless they don’t have any idea what they’re doing or where they’re going on the map from being unfamiliar with it. There is no cover in the middle from the outer edges/ ring of the map, so why would a player go there?
Sword Base is a good map. I don’t know what you’re talking about. Its one of the best maps for SWAT that Halo has ever had. I played SWAT endlessly in Reach and the other players I regularly played with also wanted to play SWAT on nothing but Sword Base because it was that good for SWAT.
Camplex… now that is up there in the worst Halo maps for sure. It just doesn’t work for anything, and has so many problems that need to be fixed, especially for Flood.
Touching your elbow behind your back is just an expression some people use to say something could be simpler. You could just touch your elbow in front of your body instead of behind your back, and Relay could just have very little cover on the outer edges, have the outer edges accessible from basically any where in the middle not just like 2-4 places, and could have larger/higher cover in the middle.
Relay’s design has potential, but its kind of the opposite of how it needs to be. I mean it doesn’t have one single line of sight breaker from one outside edge to the other located in the middle really. That alone is a serious design problem.
Edit:
Don’t take this as sounding rude, because I’m not saying it in that tone at all, but I think you just enjoy the openness and lack of design/ free-flowing feel and over-powered outer edges of Relay. And if you enjoy that, that’s ok lol. I mean I enjoy insanely over-sized maps like Death Island, Infinity, and Danger Canyon even though it takes awhile to actually find someone to even shoot at.
Hehehe I thought the elbow thing was just an expression.
Sword base worked well for swat and multi team, it was terrible for infection and team slayer in my experience.
I’ve also noticed a lot of the new maps start with either team facing each other, the initial seconds of the game has both teams shooting at each other for the first strike. This needs to change badly. I also agree with adding cover in the centre and reducing it along the outside. With the size of the map I think it could work very well if we had a multi team playlist. King of the hill with four teams of three would work great on a map this size, defintely too big for team slayer.
Death Island, Danger Canyon were great maps, danger canyon being a fav map, Infinity was massive. It would take you awhile to find someone to shoot on these maps but games of capture the flag in halo CE/CE PC were longer than what we have now. CTF in CE for PC were usually a full hour in length unless you won from max flag caps so you would rack up kills eventually.
