Armor Abilities and Armor Mods. Seriousily a ridicoulous amount of people complained about armor abilities, and in Halo 4, nobody is, I haven’t seen people say “This Armor Mod is overpowered” or “This armor ability is overpowered” threads yet.
People seem to complain about the DMR and Boltshot about being OP, and that’s it.
There are many bigger problems I have to deal with before complaining about something that can be turned off in custom games. Things like the weapon despawn time being faster than the body despawn time, the inability to use precision editing in Forge, the lack of custom options, and the like all take priority over perks.
> There are complains about AA’s though. Camo off spawn is ridiculous, Jet pack made it into the game, and Pro Vision is also out right absurd.
Show me the complaint threads. They complained about it pre-release. But ever since it’s released, I’ve seen literally no complaints for the AAs and Armor Mods. The only complaints I see is for the DMR, and Boltshot.
Nobody even uses pro-vision, and pro-vision is basically your motion tracker.

Literally every complaint thread about the game has something to do with AA’s, most notably Active Camo.

Show me. Anyway, I’ve used Active Camo, it’s just as useless as Reach’s.

I think there is a bug that causes the Camo to not throw out the ‘decoy’ blips that make it painfully obvious someone is using it. So, effectively, it gives them the old Halo 3 level Active Camo, where you WERE invisible if you crouched.
Which, in turn, is spawning a lot of rage…because the AA is genuinely broken, rather than ‘ZOMG OP’D NERF IT!!!1’
I don’t know what you’re talking about buddy because I’ve been pitching a fit on how mediocre the AAs are. 343 did a great job boring the complete crap out me with them all.
Probably because nobody figures it to be a big deal. There were some complaints early on, but there are bigger fish to fry. Plus, there is alway Slayer Pro or Customs.

Yeah, to be honest I’d even welcome the love/hate of Armour Lock back with open arms now.
Sprint: everyone has it now. There goes my mobility advantage
Thrusters: Evades inbred step-child. Just…wow.
Jetpack: Nerfed into the ground. Literally.
Hardlight shield: As much use as…uh…a thing that gives you no firepower against people armed with vehicles and grenades? Nice! Bubble shield and Armour lock look on in pity…
Active Camo and Hologram: The only two that survived pretty much intact, with the exception of AC’s bug which is giving it a bad rep.
Heal Field: Inferior to the bubbles in H3 and Reach. The other two were by no means game-breakers, and could get you killed as often as they saved you.
Auto-Sentry: Meh. A bit useless. Doesn’t have any good counterpart in the others.
Promethean Vision: Does promote the LEEROY! rush mentality. Why bother sneaking or being stealthy when your enemies can see you anyway? Meh.
Actually the AA’s in this game seem pretty balanced to me, jet pack isn’t so OP like in Reach, they all have weaknesses and I like that. Like PV for instance its basically just a more in depth radar (if you can use your radar properly you don’t need to use PV). PV’s like a starting AA. Active camo though! that’s probably the worst !
I actually think for the most part the armor abilities are fairly balanced.
Promethean Vision could use a few more drawbacks, but that’s about it for me. Or maybe tweak Holograms so that they look around slightly as they move from point A to point B. The main thing that spots a hologram in my eyes is the fact that they’re dead set on their target and not trying to observe their surroundings a bit more.

Everything is fine as it is. 343i did an awesome job balancing things.
Man, the jetpack got nerfed from Reach to 4. It’s almost impossible to make it anywhere if you don’t jump to lift off. OTOH, most of the other armor abilities don’t have much to offer either. I seem to get plasma stuck alot by guys with promethian vision, I will say that.
