Alot of people here on this forum seem to be more interested in filing complaints than being stoked for it to come out. Mostly because I think people are still having bad memories of Reach multiplayer.
But to answer your question, your not the only one.
Waypoint is a bastion for negativity and no matter how up beat and excited we may be, someone will try to ruin it for you. But alas, I agree with the OP. I’m excited about the game.

i am not going to let one little thing ruin a game for me… like its just ridiculous how everyone is reacting to this

People boycotting the game because they cant see a number? Wtf?
Last time I checked I thought people played games to have fun and such, not to see a little number beside your name go up. As long as game mechanics and weapons are balance I can care less whether I am a 1 or 50. And best of all, NO ARMOR LOCK!

With all honesty, I havn’t seen this much flaming sense my time on the old Halo bungie forums. I remember Waypoint was a nice place where we could have costructive critisism without it devolving into flame wars. Sort of sad considering the state of the Waypoint forums are now.

No. Forums like this are always full of complaining like this. There may be a lot of people complaining about th elack of visible ranks, but I’m sure there’s a lot of people happy about it too. I’m one of them.
I don’t understand how someone could think that the game won’t be fun without ranks. I’m not saying there’s no value to ranks, but isn’t the gameplay the primary reason you want to play a game? How could taking away ranks ruin that?

Damn right I’m going to have fun with Halo 4. Just because I don’t agree with every little thing that has changed does’nt mean that I can’t stand to enjoy it. It is, after all, a video game and its not like its going to net me a job, girlfriend, or a new car. So long as I have a fun game to come back to after all three of those things, then you can call me a happy camper (No pun intended)
No, I will be having fun with you OP. I can’t wait, it’s going to be awesome visible rank or not, i’ve waited too long for this game to be pissed about a rank. I finally get to see the Masterchief, Cortana etc.
