I am so happy...

I dont know about you guys, but I am HYPED for Halo Infinite:

  • I am so happy that 343 made the art director for Halo Wars 2 the art head for Halo Infinite. I - I am so happy that 343 is taking their time with Halo Infinite and not releasing it in 2019, (hopefully in 2020-2021) - I am so happy that Microsoft is heavily investing in 343 and other developers for the future of Xbox - I am so happy that Halo will bring back split screen - I am so happy that Halo is likely to come to PC, this will triple its audience - I am so happy that 343 in building a new engine just for Halo - Last but not least, I am happy that the community is being vocal about what they want to change (no sprint, classic style, playable elites, etc)What are you guys happy about?

or

Will you hold off on your happiness until the game releases?

Holding off happiness until we see more. Id rather not get my hopes up like I did for Halo 4 & H5, more so H4.

Im glad to see them possibly going back to Halos roots in art & gameplay, even if that involves some advanced movements. I will also be happy if they revert back to an achievement/progression system for unlocks.

2021 seems like quite the stretch. Those who played the earlier Halos could be Grandpas by then… So hopefully 2019, but realistically 2020.

I’m not excited, the advertising for h5 was enough to prove that 343 is more than willing to tell half truths in order to make more sales. No excitement here until trust is restored.

Biggest thing I’m happy about is bringing back split screen.

This isn’t a thing. Jeremy is a Art Director for 343, but isn’t the Art Director.
Infinite is still being headed up by Sparth [Nicolas Bouvier]

Agreed. Trust must be restored. And I wont lie… I was horribly disappointed in the teaser for halo Infinite. I’m glad they are taking their time and listening to long term fans like myself. But they haven’t out done Bungie yet. And as far as I can tell from the teaser, still wont. So ya I’m definitely holding off on happiness at this point. Halo 5 was a MAJOR let down based on the trailers for it. Half truths… try like quarter truths

Halo Infinite is absolutely coming to PC. Microsoft confirmed it several times.
I’m very happy that I won’t need an Xbox console to play it as well.

I hope we can get a gameplay trailer next(hopefully soon) so we have a better idea of what we are in store for. Then I can jump on the hype train

Where’d you hear that? I hope this isn’t true. 343 can still give us a good Halo game by late 2019, that’s enough time for development IMO.

I’m happy no battle royale is coming to halo infinite
I’m happy that the classic art style is coming back
I’m happy split screen is coming back (REALLY happy for that one)
That’s about all hopefully 343 lives up to their word but after the halo 5 teaser trailers I don’t know if that 2nd one will be true or not

If it was to release in 2019 they would have come out and said so. The fact that we only have a tech demo to digest by now very strongly suggests this is a 2020 release at the earliest.
Forget about a 2019 release entirely.

Look at Gears 5, announced in 2018 to release in 2019. That makes sense, and honestly I’m more than ready to wait for 2020, there is no rush.

I for one can’t wait for split screen. This will be amazing once it is added back in. I have missed it so much.

The release date part is more of a speculation than a confirmation. They never officially announced when it will release. Could be 2019, could be 2020, we just have to wait patiently.

Damn… it would already be almost 5 years since the last Halo game. Oh well, more time is better then, I guess.

I hope they wait till at least 2020, if not 2021

Even if we have to wait a long time we still have Halo: CE, 2, 3, Wars, ODST, Reach, 4, 5: Guardians, and Wars 2 to keep us busy.

I always get pretty excited for a new Halo. I don’t know what else to type

A couple of things here.

First, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment by assuming these things will be part of a game that’s still years away and of which we have seen and know virtually nothing.

Second, the reason some people in the community are being vocal about wanting no sprint, classic art style, playable etites, etc. is because they don’t have them now. Players who are content with the status quo are usually not vocal, but don’t mistake their silence for a sign that anti-sprinters are a majority, or that 8 out of 10 players want playable elites. I’m pretty sure that neither of those things is true. Be happy if the game play is what you want it to be (sprint or no sprint, either way), but don’t hang your happiness on a long list of little details, especially cosmetic details that don’t effect game play. That’s just asking for a broken heart.

The Halo IP was in dire need of a rethink, on a slow path towards irrelevancy. In order to get Halo to the status it was once his, they had to start fresh. Halo 5’s campaign was by most accounts terrible.

It’s always possible one part of the whole package releases in 2019 like a MP beta or something but I don’t expect the full game to release before 2020 right in time for the next Xbox console and new GPUs by Nvidia.

I’m happy about everything we’ve seen and heard about Infinite so far. Well maybe not the part where it’s still years away but at least that means they’re not rushing it like H5.
