I am remaking 8 Classic Halo Maps Via Forge

—here is the List. I will try to remake them as close as possible to the original with improvements.

—I can’t promise they will look pretty given the type of objects available in the forge pallette but I will try.

—Sandtrap, Waterworks, and Containment might be impossible given the size of the forge worlds but I will try.

First Map will be a simple one: Warlock. I’ll keep you guys updated. I am aiming to complete one map per week, so hopefully all of them will be available in 8 weeks.

  1. NARROWS Remake

  2. SANDTRAP Remake ( without Elephant. A scorpion tank will take its place )

  3. BOARDING ACTION ( SPIRITUAL SUCCESSOR ) - Making one side the UNSC Infinity and the other side a boarding platform. I would make it so you could traverse the map via mancannons but unfortunately they are not included in the forge pallette of Impact unless I am mistaken.

  4. CONTAINMENT REMAKE OR SPIRITUAL SUCCESSOR

  5. BURIAL MOUNDS ( SPIRITUAL SUCCESSOR )

  6. COLLOSSUS ( SPIRITUAL SUCCESSOR )

  7. WATERWORKS ( Direct Remake with improvements )

  8. WARLOCK ( spiritual successor with proper scale to support sprint )

First off, don’t rush the maps. There is no reason to rush the maps seeing as 343i will probably not inject them into MM (because of legal issues with Bungie, I’d guess).

Secondly, can you make a “The Pit” Remake and Beaver Creek Remake?

And thanks for the hard work, the new forge sucks without precision controls, so I know it is going to be more challenging than it was in Reach.

There would be no legal issues, the Halo universe belongs to Microsoft now.

I’m not so sure…

I’m no lawyer, but I can see Bungie suing 343i if 343i decides to use a map (remake or not) that Bungie created.

But you may be right. Still no reason to rush it lol.

lol don’t worry they won’t be rushed. I used to be a graphic designer so I know how to take the time crafting something beautiful.

Ragnarok is a Valhalla remake. Why have they not been sued yet? Because Bungie doesn’t own any thing Halo. Just the title of developer, not the rights in general.

I’ll need you to playtest a giant map I made and give some feedback for it.

It’s a giant Containment wall in space with a central Gate and two side gates. It is designed primarilly for CTF games. It is going to be similar to a spiritual successor for narrows when I’m finished. I’m currently worked on a V2 for it since I made it too big and ran out of forge items.

Also yes I’ll also work on beaver creek and the pit. Those are easy ones.

  1. warlock/wizard has already been recreated perfectly. it is an easy map after all.
  2. the pit pretty much has been done perfectly. the pit took all 10k budget, and still has no ceiling.

i have a question about map remakes, how do you make them so precise, you’d need like 2 consoles running side by side to get to look at all the areas for scale and detail, is there an easier way around this?

also how will you remake sandtrap? massive map, and sandy, what map coul you possibly make this detailed on including the size?

I’m going to attempt the sandtrap remake on either erosion or impact ( probably erosion. ) not sure how yet tho.

I’ll probably have half of the map on terrain and the other half with the floor hanging off the cliffside with the flood being made out of panels.

1, 6, and 8 are done… Go to forgehub if you want to find them. The rest are not worth trying… why waste your time.

Some maps are already done.

I want a lockout remake. I am also willing to play test XBL name is forum name.
