This isn’t hate on halo 5 (I really really like the game) but I feel the sales and reviews from the community good have been wayyyyy better if they just released the game with Forge,BTB,Infection,Split screen and a better campaign. For starters I’m really really annoyed of them claiming monthly free DLC because your just giving us more reqs of and so far I’ve gotten the tundra warthog and mongoose. These monthly DLC’s should be things like maps, some sort of PVE, and armour and a few new reqs now and again.One of my biggest issues is the fact that the campaign was a TOTAL let down. They should have saved the content from Halo Escalation and put it into halo 5 so that new players could have that introduction to blue team without having to read the books. And there would have been more game play. And with this whole forge thing I think I take it as a giant middle finger to the halo community from 343 (before hating please read). I think this way because I feel like 343 was just lazy or felt rushed to produce the game. But personally I’m losing faith and trust towards 343 and if you guys feel different that’s your opinion. But am I the only one that thinks 343 should get there act together and give the halo community something it deserves for being so devoted and loyal?
I feel they left a bunch out because of the MCC disaster. They want to make sure everything is running at 100% before they release everything which I respect, though it is getting a bit long for my taste. Sooner we get forge the better and once we get it things will start looking up.
What maps are you not getting in the monthly updates? I’m getting 4 more this week.
And top paragraph, you can’t “just” add splitscreen, gamemodes and Campaign. Each of these things take months to do. And yes while they have a serious lack of multiplayer content (The campaign was one of the greatest and biggest yet, but the story was absolute -Yoink-) you can’t blame them for not “just” adding it. I believe that there was probably some terrible time management which causes it.
And finally (I have done this post in a really weird order :/) you are taking the forge thing as a middle finger as 343 rushed it? I’m sorry OP I realize this is your opinion but they delayed forge itself to complete

I find it funny that people think certain things can just be updated in.
Will you all please quit whining about splitscreen not being in Halo 5. It might come in Halo 6, but its never going to be “patched in”. It would require an extensive retooling of the engine to insure optimum performance. And its not like they’ll just update with a better campaign, that makes no sense. In regards to the EU (Extended Universe), Halo has a very expansive universe outside the games, and hitting players will a wall of exposition is terrible story telling. If you don’t want to read the material, there’s plenty on people who put summaries a lot of it online (Halo Canon, r/HaloStory, Halo Archive, to name a few). Halo Escalation was supposed to be Spartan Ops, but after the feedback they got, Spartan Ops was canned after Season 1.

I am totally aware that it would take hundreds of ours to “add” splitscreen but I think that 343 needs to stop claiming that halo 5 is going to be the next halo 2 and when they do it receives tons of hate reviews
