343 confirmed no preload for campaign because its technically DLC.
Here’s the skinny.
The Campaign install will be 74.+ Gigs.
Bringing it to 100 gigs with MP.
Some regions will get it at midnight their time, but most will get it at 10a PST.
Yeah I know what they’re saying now but when I pre-ordered in the store it said buy now download on 7th play on 8th (day one) now with how they’re doing it because I have to work its going to probably be play it eventually
Geez, what a trainwreck. I too got confused with the install size only being 25,9GB and the campaign download nowhere to be seen, despite everything Xbox screaming “preload now!”.
I even deleted the game to try to install it as a complete package, but that did not work either. Even the mobile app trick that seemed to work for a split second. I don’t know if I should initiate a complete download tomorrow morning or gamble that the game auto updates/downloads if I install the 25,9GB tonight.
I can only assume that this is a way to keep dataminers away from the game and spoil everything, but a lot has already been spoiled anyway and we have gotten plenty of gameplay and reviews to show a ton anyways. So in the end, this does much more harm than good, and the people with poor internet are being punished.
Oh yeah, any clearity is appreciated.

Still no preload available for me. The option for downloading the campaign part is missing completely atm.
Looks like two of us will be out of luck on our birthdays when it comes to Infinite

No day 1 gameplay for me then. With release time and my download speed will be 2 more days before I can play.
343 have confirmed there is no pre-load despite the fact that for the past few days there have been lots of notifications saying to pre-load Halo Infinite. Very disappointing, especially since the game went Gold sometime ago.
