Yeah, so I click install and it is starting MP download first, has Campaign in queue with its 61.77gb, then that disappears and it’s only downloading MP atm.
So for whatever reason it’s forcing a MP install lol.
OK so the Gamepass app did it for me! It’s currently trying to remote install it on my XBox Series S.

Haha everyone thinks they’ve cracked it and it doesn’t work. Hopefully something is sorted before the end of the day. The game comes out at midnight right? That is fast approaching. Tbf I was planning on just playing an hour and going to bed.
On the Xbox app it has a countdown for me. Says 1 day 7 hours and 30 mins.
That doesn’t sound good I thought it was the 8th at midnight.
Someone claimed physical is midnight, but idk how true that is. If you go into the Xbox app on your PC, it should show your local time release.
Damn so even if I have the disc I can’t play, that’s so bad.
It’s not due until tomorrow anyway but gutted for people who get theirs early.
I know I am sad as well. I’m up late nowadays so midnight would’ve been just fine for me. Are you getting physical at midnight? Maybe it would work for you, but again I really dunno. There may be hope yet.

Nah I have a disc in the post which hasn’t dispatched yet but they said they would dispatch the day before so I assume will be sent some point today to arrive tomorrow.
I’ll be playing through game pass mainly, so ideally I would pre-load, play an hour, bed then play some the following day. It’s only an hour difference so I can’t be too upset as the game will still be ready to play for me the day after.

From my understanding the game, just like the daily/weekly challenges will go live at 10 A.M. Pacific Standard time Dec. 8th. Not the usual midnight per region.
As for the file size, the common hearsay has been just under 68 gigs. Nothing official yet.
Edit: For the pre-load, I would prepare for it to be similar if not just like the flighting was. As I am using Gamepass for my copy, I will most likely have to use the GamePass app to initiate download.

OK, so i checked again and it says “Pre-install today, play day one” but it’s still not possible to install anything other than the multiplayer.
There is no preload. Its a lie.
I’ve tried everything even uninstall the mp.
We can install tomorrow at launch time. What a disaster. Wasted a day off by booking the 8th

I pre-ordered this game half a year ago because I love Halo but if i can’t pre-download like I’ve been done with other games and i have to wait until day of and have game spoiled because I didn’t get to play it on my one day off work I’m never going to pre-order a game ever again

I hope 343 reads these they’ve ruined my birthday its the one day i took off work and i had to do that three months ago i turn 25 tomorrow (halos release date) I’ve been playing since first halo and pre-ordered this one as soon as it was available and now i can’t pre-download it and just found out the way their releasing it i won’t get to play it until halfway through the day then I still probably won’t get to play because of download time then I will probably have story ruined for me by someone at work

It’s currently 07:45 on December 8th here in NZ, that’s 24 hours of thumb twiddling for meeeeee.
My own fault really, I should have known that this would be the case before I booked the day off haha!
