I just bought Halo 5 a few days ago and saw that if I bought it new I would get 2 weeks of Gold for free. I finished the campaign and thought I would redeem my trial. It links me to the site but says that I must purchase Halo 5. I have Game Pass and played a few missions using that before I bought the game. Would that make it seem like I haven’t bought the game?
I’m not sure, but I think if have an existing gold account you won’t get the 2 week “trial”. MS won’t let you stack gold memberships.
I don’t think playing Halo 5 with Xbox Game Pass doesn’t equate to you actually owning a copy of the game. If that’s the case, you’ll have to buy the actual disc or the digital version in order to play it.
