You keep saying KD doesn’t matter yet your posts are riddled with references to it. In another thread you claimed people need a geo filter to maintain it, implying you had at the very least looked up others kd’s in a petty attempt to insult them.
This is backed up further by you calling me a child with too small a brain to comprehend your post.
Yes I know what gets you disregarded in a discussion? When your only retort is an insult.
You lost any interest I had in your opinion at that point.
You kept bring it up. ( K/D ) I mentioned and had to break down an entire reply so that you can have an understanding of it.
Thats an assumption, “ Implying “ I looked up anyone’s K/D and in that Geo filtering post, I do not claim anyone needs it, I state with how he is complaining, it seems like he relies on it…
Again, that is an assumption CHILD.
I call you child, cause your complaining, arguing and assuming like one, based 1 or more replies of mine, in which YOU went out of the way to ASSUME, I was comparing K/D’s and then brought mine up…
You lost interest because you were assuming my reply / Opinion was an insult, in which it wasn’t, I then corrected and broke it down for you.
If you going to argue, GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHTS child.
no, when the game constantly put me in matches with people who are braindead and die like 20 times and get 2 kills over and over again, thats just bad matchmakin
i shouldnt have to bother my friends or go wherever the hell to find some people who actually know how to hold a controller to have a decent match
not really, infinite is the only game ive played where its this bad
I’ve been playing games with matchmaker systems in place since Halo 2’s originally release on the original XBox and everyone of them jave been just as bad as it is in Halo Infinite… AI can’t read your mind, know just precisely what types of teammates your looking for and magically provide them to you every singe game. You’re nothing short of a bleep bleep fool if you think that’s even remotely possible. Only you know what type of people you want specifically to be teamed up with.
This is just about every game now-a-days. If you’re not going to heed my advice, have fun dealing with this all the time frequently in just about every game you play that uses a matchmaker.
Now with multiplayer being F2P there was quite an influx of new players.
You can usually even tell when you have someone with a name like “IamUberChampKillingThemAll” of something like that it usually means quite the opposite and they are a complete noob that goes 1:18 if they don’t early quit before that.
So, yes I really like the idea of having them in a pool to play against each other.
Of course that will only work as long as there is are pools large enough to this segregation based on skill (or the lack of). And that brings us full circle to the core problem of how attractive is Halo and what can be done about it.
I have yet to see any company that runs matchmaking services actually accomplish this. I believe what your asking for is simply put unrealistic. Similar to that of a work of fantasy and make believe.
What type of check boxes would you want them to actually give you? You want teammates that communicate? How would they regulate that, they just have a headset plugged in, what if they never talk with said headset? I want teammates that accommodate my style, how the hell is it going to know that?
The best you’re going to get is pairing people with similar outcomes in matches at best, and that’s definitely not going to be enough information as to wither that teammate will work well with you or not… Then you gotta factor in that they might want to played more relaxed this round when they have been sweeting bullets in matches all day, thus not going to preform as well.
Please, tell me again how you never brought up peoples KD and told them they were bad.
Your insults and clear rage in your posts are nothing but amusing. Clearly you are very mature. When you do reach maturity, ill happily have a conversation with you but it seems you are not capable of that just yet.
What kind of bleep bleep question is that now?
Even if (and that surely isn’t really the case) only 50% of headset users would actually communicate that still would be a guaranteed 50% chance to have someone who is able to make a meaningful call-out.
You must be a total bleep bleep whatever if you can’t see the benefit in that.
You must be quite narrow minded if you don’t understand how criteria like being able to communicate and avoiding habitual early quitters are very much part of defining a play style. No rocket science needed.
I wonder what your underlying motive to deny the benefit of such selection option might be.
They can and they do. That’s the entire point of matchmaking. Now in something like quick play it could be argued that players can be connected without matching criteria as its intended to play quickly.
Halo 2 did in fact have a true matchmaking system. It would prioritise players matching of a similar rank level. If you remember, it widened those search criteria the longer you searched.
Infinite does nothing like that. It places you in a match with people (in my experience) who have had as little as 3 matchmade games. Once a match is complete you can view a players profile and it will tell you exactly how many games they have played in matchmaking and custom and the level of which they have (if applicable) beaten campaign.
I’m ranked Onyx with over 1300 games played, there is no way matchmaking should be placing players that have had 3 matchmade games on my team or even in my games full stop. They should be placed in games with others with similar stats… That is the entire point of matchmaking.
That’s not just for my benefit either. If they are (new players) constantly placed in matches where they don’t have the experience to compete they will simply quit playing as the learning curve is too high. In Apex Legends they have a specific pool for players that are ranked 1-30 once you have reached 31, you play in regular servers as its assumed you are now competent enough at the game to compete in those games.
I’ve played 5 ranked games so far tonight. Didn’t do so well in the first couple (still getting used to bumper jumper), and lost half my rank at D4. Now I can barely get it back because the system hasn’t stopped matching me with teammates and opponents equal or lower value in rank. Not to mention back to back 150 ms ping servers.
Just went 22 and 10 in a Slayer game, my teammates all went negative. Weirdly, the only person who went positive on the other team was a Gold 5 at 19 and 11. Their teammates were D1, D2, and P3.
There is a system apparently…something about proving to somebody that you deserve it… you need to win objective games with a man or two down then if you do that enough maybe you rank up? I’m not sure I find it impossible to win objective games with 2 or 3 vs 4… just had a teammate go 2 and 24 lol….I should have have gone 25 and 2 I guess
@Shaedlaer If you have the xbox game bar also installed, hitting the windows key + g should bring it up, it’ll bring up an interface you can search for and add people to XBL friends (social menu, people shapes on the button bar)
Also, OP? Lighten the hell up, bud. It’s a game. We’re all here for fun. If you’re -Yoink!- about ranked, that’s one thing I guess, I heard the matchmaking on that was borked. But in socials? Man, how the hell are people supposed to learn the game unless they play? What’s the matter with you? Why can’t you reach out a hand via chat or mic and give some advice? You too big and famous for that? You too strong and independent and ‘got gud’ that you can’t turn around and give someone else a hand up? smgdfh
This is a constant problem I see all over the place, not just online and in meat space but also in game. It’s all ‘my score! my opinions! my way is the only one that matters!’ like we all start somewhere and being an assmunch is going to get you literally nowhere in life. I mean, I specifically go out of my way to block the gamertags of people I catch being a tool to others. Shout slurs at the end of the match and I’ll catch you too, I always have the scoreboard up at the end so I can tell who it is.
Put your big kid pants on and learn how to share the sandbox with the other kids for crying out loud. You might even make some friends that way. Meanwhile, the rest of us are gonna have fun and try to help each other because, you know, when you get put on a TEAM, one expects you might have to do some TEAMWORK. You wanna lone wolf it? Go play FFA.
