I should not be punished for being good, and I certainly should not have to be given three noobs while my opposing team 90 percent of the time is partied up. I play solo. Stop stripping players of fun just because it’s easier for your system.
343 needs to make sure you don’t win more than 50% of your games. So if you win some, they will give you bad teammates to make sure you lose.
The only way to defeat this is to always play in a party of 4. Just make sure that you are all evenly ranked because it will always match you based on your highest ranked teammate.
I thought they just que people with expensive skins with the scrubs so they see what they’re missing out on-
dying alot but looking slightly cooler than everyone else while doing it
Have you tried solo duo? Im assuming you’re talking about playing in the open crossplay. If that’s the case, well you’re the one at blame. The powers in your hands to actually invite people to team up with you. If you play alone with randoms, expect random results. It’s just the nature of the beast. The only other thing to do is solo duo or look in the official LFG for halo infinite (which is actually very easy and fast to do)
The old games hard “party restrictions” integrated. Idk if infinite has this. If may not always work either way even if it did though.
It’s not a random result when 90 percent of the matches are against partied players. What nonsense. I don’t have friends playing because everyone stopped playing infinite. The matching should be fair across the board. It’s their fault, not mine. Stop stanning and fix the game. Jesus Christ.
How can matchmaking account for the following:
- Bad players doing good
- Good players doing bad
- Good players that let a sibling or friend play
- Good players that drink too much
- Teams that work together
- Teams that don’t work together
I feel your complaints are as old as time. If you want a good team, get one together. Xbox does have a LFG option. Or convince friends that are good to play with you.
No algorithmic magic will solve the items above.
Stop being anti social and make some friends. It’s random results if people can play fine alone and win. You aren’t speaking for every single player. It’s not like every single player solo q is losing every single match and getting bad team mates 100% of the time. You win some, you lose some.
If you get even just 1 decent team mate, extend an invitation. That alone can make a difference. Time to be mature about the situation and realize there’s more power in your hands than you believe there to be.
Or…you can spend hours on these forums crying over the same thing. It won’t change anything. Absolutely nothing at all. It’s either just going to be wasted time arguing with people who have no direct affect on your match making…or an echo chamber of “yea bro its the worst!” Which in the end does what? Nothing.
Actually i can consistently get terrible team mates. I can go easy for 4-5 games when not a single team mates has a positive score.
Checking their profiles i can see they have played 3 matchmade games.
That leaves us with two options.
Matchmaking is broken.
Playerbase is that lopsided it cant match people correctly.
Both of which is out of the users hands.
Any idea how to invite someone on PC, steam version? Infinite seems to dislike giving people ways to socialize, talk to each other and invite each other to any kind of friends list…
Something that I have noticed in Infinite that has carried over from Halo 5, is that usually one or two players on the winning team is doing most of the work. While the other team mates are not doing well or they were randomly thrown into an already lopsided match.
I play a good mix of solo and party, and this seems like the case in the majority of my matches during solo play. The SBMM seems to be slightly more accurate in pairing Party players more so than Solo players.
I think the SBMM in Social playlists needs to be fair for all players but still more relaxed than the Ranked playlist.
Not a clue. My laptop is from 2007 man. Still on windows 7! I just play on the Xbox. Perhaps someone else may read this and suggest how to do it.
Have you used the official LFG? Tried to play with others around your level? I get you want matchmaking to just be this optimal thing but it’s just never been that way. When I play alone it swings a lot. Good games and bad games. Team mates that play exactly how I’d expect them to, and team mates that chase kills around corners all match and die.
Idk how big the population is. I don’t play alone often. Halo alone, in my experience ANY halo…is c@ncer without friends. Idk how the hell anyone can play a team game and even remotely take it seriously playing alone.
And when I say friends, I don’t mean irl. I have 0 friends irl. I’m almost 40 and have a decent roster of friends and made my own discord to invite them all to. I did this during halo 5, and honestly had I not done that, I would have never played halo again.
That’s why this thread exists mate. So they can at least acknowledge how broken the matchmaking is.
I have use the LFG on a few occasions, but the game is a joke so any friends i do make quickly discard the game… cause its a joke. I regularly login and see 40-50 players online. 0 playing halo… cause its a joke.
I also don’t want to be a baby sitter.
Ive just played 5 games out of those i had 3 team mates that managed to stay positive. In separate games. 12 team mates that went negative.
I’m having to drop 20-30 kills a round and still losing some of the games cause i cant kill quicker than the derpy team mates are getting themselves killed.
My last match I went 32-5 and still ended up losing cause matchmaking doesn’t work.
Out of 5 matches I won 1… only as it was a team slayer and I managed to drag my team, kicking and screaming to the win with 26 kills and 2 deaths. Final score for that match was 50-48.
My team mates went -9 -8 -1
Matchmaking is broken. Just another thing to add to the list of things that don’t work in infinite.
Tell me again why i should be babysitting with a healthy population and a supposed 20m users.
Your win rate is over 50%.
The matchmaking system is designed to try and make you lose in order to get you down to 50%.
Matchmaking working as intended.
If by working, you mean leaving me frustrated cause it doesn’t matter how skilled I become it doesn’t matter and making a bunch of other people get reamed and left thinking (correctly) that infinite is hot garbage.
How is that in anyway fun for those people who are being used as my anchor by matchmaking?
Wonder why that population number keeps getting reamed.
The sooner infinite dies the better. Hopefully Microsoft wont be fooled a 5th time into giving 343 any funding.
The battle royale generation doesn’t care. They just run to their deaths, respawn, and do it again. Oh look, cat ears.
I don’t agree with it, but that is what you’re up against. The only enjoyable way to deal with it reliably is to find people to party up with and play as a team.
Ive tried. My mates dont play it anymore as they would prefer to play games that… you know, work.
Ive tried the LFG on discord, again, most of those players ive met have realised that games that work are much more enjoyable than halo, that is broken in almost every aspect.
So my choices are keep banging my head against a wall… or go play a game that, you know… works.
And again… we have the answer as to why the player pool is evaporating quicker than spilled water in the desert.
Yup. That’s what happens when a game is designed by a bunch of former pro players that just want to design a game for pros. Oh, here’s some cat ears for the rest of you.
The matchmaking has certainly some rules to match up team within same level. But in the end, when there are not enough player available, it just takes what it finds an put this player together.
For me its a sign that more and more player left halo infinite.
Well we know it disregards region for a fact, hence we all end up in 200+ ping servers even at peak times.
We know it doesn’t take skill into account or we wouldn’t be baby sitting freshies who are still working out what button fires their gun.
What does it take into account?
