So I’m locked out of almost every playlist. What sort of -Yoink- is this?
You don’t have all the map packs, so you can’t play them, what’s the big deal?
It has been like that for years now.
And you’ve only just noticed?
As Moa said it’s been like this for sometime now.

I heard ODST is cheap nowadays. Its comes with all the maps in the Halo 3 multiplayer disk. I originally bought all the maps AND ODST eventually. So don’t complain sir.
Actually i believe the missing map packs you require is the Heroic map pack and the Cold Storage map, both of which are free.
Bungie made these a requirement a long time ago since they were free and no reason not to have them.
Moa, the big deal is I bought Halo 3 to play Halo 3 only to realize I bought the wrong game.
ShadEO9, forgive me. I bought the game new. Perhaps the box art needs updating to inform me of these things. Maybe just a little, “For the complete multiplayer experience, get ODST.”
Choke, I didn’t suggest that I be exempt from paying for content. I paid for content, but I cannot use a lot of it online.
Nolan, luckily I own a copy of ODST. The new copy of Halo 3 I bought was for my brother so we could play together. Unfortunately, the halo 3 Beta had more stuff to do in multiplayer than the full game does now. And, no, I tried my Halo 3 disc and it didn’t work. I have all the maps as DLC aside from the latest 3, which I got with ODST, and I was still locked out of everything aside from Social Slayer and Team Doubles.
Am I expected to go digging through old news on bungie.net to learn this stuff?
Anyway, I decided to scrap the idea and just get him Reach because you can still play plenty of playlists without any DLC. I understand it is a minor frustration, but it really is a pain in the -Yoink- trying to get back into Halo 3. I think that should have been the focus of this thread. My apologies for the outburst.
