Sorry to clutter the forums, but I do not completely understand these Specializations. I have an idea but I’m not completely sure. I don’t want to express my opinion about it until I fully understand it.
Thank You.

I’m not sure if anyone completely understands them. As I see it now it makes no sense whatsoever.
hopefully the bulletin will clear things up
There’s a lot of misunderstanding about them, to be fair.
But the general concept seems to be that once you reach a certain rank (50, I think) you can re-enlist into a specialisation. Eacg specialisation is 10 levels, and each level unlocks you unique armour, skins, emblems and armour mods that can only be unlocked by leveling up into that specialisation. Once you’ve done the ten levels, you pick another one and go through that etc.
Well specializations work like this once you reach the max rank cap in halo 4 you can enlist into a specialization like wetwork or pioneer, now there are ten levels for each specialization and you will recieve armor, skins, emblems, and on the last level you will unlock a armor mod which can be used in either a tactical or support package for your loadouts.
The only thing that we don’t know is how the ranking system will work.
So does that answer your question.
There’s an article over at IGN, don’t ask me to find it for you.
Basically as an example if you like driving there’s a specialization armor set ( Not positive if it’s simply a armor or a flipping a switch on that one) you can select to bolster the health on your vehicle and it’s recovery. At launch two of these specialization will be available for everyone while Limited Edition owners will have access to eight. I’m not sure if they are active until 343 flips the switch on them.
One of the first specialization will be called Wetworks which is a counter to Promethean vision to a degree, while being slightly less noisy. While the other one sorta acts as a experience booster.
I hope that helps in a way.
