I just played some COD MW3 with my brother online. I have compared Halo 4 to COD with it’s perks implementation, but I must retract that statement. Even with all of the perks that Halo 4 brought to the game, it is NOTHING like the travesty that is COD.
Halo 4 still takes skill. The first person to shoot isn’t guaranteed a win like they are in COD. In COD, if someone gets behind you, you’re dead in half a second. In Halo 4, at least you have a fighting chance because of the shields. In COD, there is this thing called quickscoping because COD uses an auto-focus feature. It doesn’t exist in Halo 4 and I am so grateful for it not being in there. In Halo 4, you can use grenades tactically and they become an important weapon to take someone down. In COD, grenade means nothing. You can throw a grenade where someone is camping (and that is ALL what COD is about), but it wont help you in a “gunfight.”
In Halo 4, nothing is going to hover in the sky and kill you just because someone on the other team killed 5 people in a row. They may get a power weapon or some boost, but you still have a fighting chance against them. In Halo 4, you have to hit someone and be accurate in order to kill them in the fewest amount of shots. In COD, a body shot works just fine. In Halo 4, you can see on the radar where an opponent is due to the motion sensor. In COD, the other guy has to shoot or the UAV must be up, and you better pray they don’t have assassin.
In Halo 4, the concept of team actually exists. In COD, it’s almost every man for themselves. A kill actually does mean something in Halo 4, because you worked and outsmarted your opponent to get that kill. In COD, a monkey throwing feces could get a kill while both throwing feces and eating a banana.
For all the complaining that I have done about how Halo 4 is the new COD, I shouldn’t. Halo 4 is NOTHING like COD. The support and tactical perks we get in Halo 4 are minor at best and not really overpowering unlike some of the COD perks. The Armor Abilities can sometimes break the board (Jet Packs or Active Camo snipers anyone?) and can be annoying at times, but are they as bad as starting out with a one shot kill weapon like a sniper? The boltshot needs CQC and takes some time, so it’s not as instant one shot as a sniper is. And the ordinances? A lot easier to deal with than flying helicopters shooting overtop of you or a missile headed straight for you with nothing you can do.
Halo 4 still takes a lot of skill to even be decent at. COD is still for people who like to hold down buttons with no thought. Halo 4 did get a little closer to COD, but it is absolutely NOTHING like COD.

i got tired of the people act on that game i like the community of halo better
