Battle Royale ⌠I do not think 343 can make it happen within Halo Infiniteâs structure. I currently experience so much lag as it is now on 4x4 teams, so what, only people living on top of the servers are going to enjoy it?
I think inside the 343 Halo Infinite test tube everything plays great, but itâs not the real world.
As others have said, the sad part is 343 most likely believes a Battle Royale will save the franchise, so nothing original, just pump out the same content as everyone else, Oh and donât forget to visit the gift shop.
It is so obvious 343 has not grown and evolved into a better company, all one has to do is look at the TV series, thatâs the kind of creative vision 343 is capable of, forgettable throw-away content, perfect for an audience with short attention spans.
Itâs kind of similar to that puzzle toy toddlers usually play with. Forcing games to adapt to the BR format is like shoving a Rectangle into the Triangle hole and expecting both shapes to remain in perfect condition afterwards.
Itâs gonna be like COD when it was forced into the Warzone BR format, even COD had to undergo changes to make it adapt correctly. Halo will undoubtedly have to be forced into the BR format as well, just like it was with the Free to Play format. They made F2P work in Infinite but it severely changed the multiplayer from previous games. There will probably be Armor Core healing, shielding or boosts and all that jazz, just like all the other BR games out there. Halo BR most likely wonât be âHaloâ at all besides in theme and name⌠a Halo BR will undoubtedly be morphed into a new shape just like COD Warzone.
All Iâm saying is they could have at least added one thing for the campaign and the one thing I would want to add could actually be added to multiplayer to and that is the hornet I would really like that vehicle back
Honestly surprised that the Hornet didnât make a return, or at least the Falcon; considering how much more useful that vehicle would be in BTB and in Campaign with a squad of Marines following you and armed to the teeth with weapons of your choosing.
What is tragically sad is that 343 did little development with Paramountâs TV show.
It is just that both studios have a deep lack of respect for the franchise that they wield and fail to see the cultural impact it has had.
They ignore their target audience and then have the gall to wonder âWhy did it not reach sales expectations? Why are our ratings mid-to-low? What did we do wrong?â
And when feedback is given, they take it as an insult when actual criticism is laid out; or better yet, they gaslight us by saying our feedback is toxic and hateful and therefore âmust be ignoredâ. (which coming from some people it can be since, well, it is the internet.)
Lack of substantial in-game events / large scale conflict
FOBs look nothing like what a Forward operating base should look like
No option to disable weapon outlines / hitmarkers (example of franchises that has this option: Call of duty, Battlefield, Killing Floor, Alien fireteam, Apex, etc.)
Lack of necessary cutscenes to demonstrate events (the UNSC got wiped out, how? What happened to all other UNSC assets that were not sent to Zeta Halo? The endless are worst than the flood, how? Cortana got tricked by the AI, how? The banished were aware of âthe weaponâ existence, how? The banished help the Harbinger, why? Cortana wanted to use the endless, why? Cortana blew up a part of the Zeta halo, how? Of all the possible times Cortana could have had a guilt trip it was only during Halo Infinite events, why? The infinity was a marvel of engineering using Forerunner and covenant technology equipped with the most sturdy alloys / shield known to humanity and somehow managed to loose against 3 ships barely the 1/10 of its mass developed and piloted by a bunch of space monkeys. How? What happened to the ship?)
the sooner u come to terms with halo is dead, the better off you are going to be. Just come to terms with it because that reality is true now and the IP is irrelevant in modern gaming.
Quite false actually.
The fact is that 343 has failed to actually give their playerbase what they want, refused to hire people that actually wanted to do what the target audience wanted, and plugged their ears when it came to feedback.
Halo 4 was their attempt to perform the Jealousy Gambit (wherein they make needless and unwanted changes to something that didnât need such changes, all in an attempt to attract a wider audience.). Because of this, it failed and had to cancel 2/3 of the DLC content planned.
Halo 5 was a failure of storytelling and was only monetarily successful because they went back to same-starts Arena and had the REQ packs constantly brining in money. Plus Certain Affinity and Skybox Labs knocked it outta the park.
And finally, Halo Infinite was their first attempt at doing what the fans actually wanted; but rather than treat us like proper fellow adults and give us what we requested; they are spoon-feeding us the content by releasing the game 1/8 complete and trying to get us addicted to it like children are addicted to Fortnite. Hence why they copied Fortniteâs marketing model -
Free-To-Play Multiplayer
$60 PvE Story Experience
Overpriced skins and models that rotate out and get vaulted until maybe a year or two down the line.
It is not a Dead IP.
It is an egregiously mishandled IP.
It is akin to as if EA obtained the rights of Mario, decided that they needed hyper-realistic graphics instead of cartoonish graphics, decided to sell you the other worlds and ability to play as the other star cast members, and then decided that every year they should release the same Mario Sports games over-and-over again. Imagine it⌠Super Mario Strikers Charged 2k23⌠pay $15 to have a chance to Waluigi added to your team or just another Koopa-Trooper duplicate in the loot box system.
343 was designed solely to make Halo.
They have yet to make a single Halo until now and even then, like I said, it is only 1/8 complete.
This really sums it up. Like or dislike the campaign for Infinite, 343i really donât have much to show for the last 3 games they made story wise. Losing to the banished off screen was laughable. Losing to the banished should have been the game. Instead we have 3 starts to a trilogy with no middle or end consisting of soap opera drama Cortana. Cortana died, became a dictator, died again and was copy/pasted.
See thatâs the thing. I was pretty sure that, they might skip the whole Galactic Overlord thing and go straight to the redemption arc. Oh, sheâll get depowered, they have to learn to work together again, forgive and it was all rampancy, I am a monster etc etc
I didnât think 343 were cowards that would kill her off and awkwardly push another character at you. One where the Chief can end every debate on the Weapon with âsheâs done nothing wrongâ. Which is boring and more importantly why should I care?
I am concerned they see the character as Cortana without the baggage. So, youâre still going to have the trust issues, youâre still going to have UNSC pressuring Chief over dangerous AI, youâre still going to have this presented as a love story. But instead of it being the established character theyâll just assume youâll transfer that onto this different character because she happens to look like the woman the dude lost.
To quote Wanda - âYou donât think itâs, wrong?â
To quote Jorah Mormont - âShe looked like you Khaleesiâ
It works in Infinite whilst the Chief is hostile/indifferent towards the Weapon. But when they make it clear sheâs the replacement, no, I donât buy that. 343 clearly arenât moving away from the love story angle and thatâs a problem with the Weapon.
Ummm, I donât remember any bonkers crashes or glitches like when I first tried it. Its about normal for a Battlefield game Iâd say. Although I think the big player mode is off console now. The maps are still a bit meh.
I do like a lot of the vehicles and equipment but some stuff seems very broken. So much so that they limit the amount of tanks and vehicles a little too much.
I think if you have the game might be worth taking another look.
But yeah Iâve had a fair bit of fun on a few games.
If you talking the Custom Game Modes. The stock ( None Edited ) ones do work However, I have made 50 different changes in my game modes. You will not be able to connect to those MS Azure Game Servers. That is what is broken. If you edit 50 different in the Game Mode you wonât be able to connect to those game server!
the callousness of 343 is what led to it being irrelevant sadly. U r right and halo infinite did have potential but they never paid any attention to the game and this is the eventual consequence. GGWP 343i.
When the co-op is here, what is it going to look like? Will it be multiplayer, matchmaking PVE, or just people from your friendâs list roaming around a vacant repetitive environment?
I do think if 343 was cooking up something amazing they would say so. The fact there is no information about co-op other than that, at some point, itâs coming, doesnât give me great expectations and makes me think co-op in whatever form it arrives will be in a perpetual beta release for many months same as when forge releases. I am hoping I am 100% wrong.
A good PVE mode is what this game needs and every month some new interesting maps with some cool events and rewards exclusive to those events. BUT my suspicious side says co-op will most likely be linked to the store and is going to be the Req-Pack system or similar on steroids or in another scenario it will be released and never see updates, OR, they will release a Battle Royale mode, and call that co-op. I was really looking forward to a matchmaking PVE-style co-op.
