Its a weird serotonin booster shot of a thing to throw in this game, but I love to just beeline to the loot caves and take control of them every match. It’s fun to see what odd assortment of weapons and gear I can find inside, and the anticipation of it opening can get pretty exciting if you’re also trying to fight off enemies who want to take your swag.
I have two complaints though, and they’re connected to one another.
Teammates NEVER seem to share this sentiment, and will avoid the loot caves at all costs.
There’s so much good stuff inside them usually, that I can’t choose what I want to keep. This is meant to be something the team SHARES but since I’m usually the only one controlling the caves, I get everything.
I feel guilty about lurking around the loot cave if a teammate gets there first, I might guard them/you but there’s not a lot of things in there to go around without me feeling like I’m stealing.
I’d personally argue the rooms don’t have enough items, and it used to be a fight over who gets the good weapon and good armor ability pickup. I’m not saying the room needs to be packed with everything like that one goldmine item room from the Campaign, but enough to share between a fireteam of 4 would be nice.
That would be cool but I think the maps are way too small for a loot cave to begin with. Always wanted Halo to have a Battlefield style mode and still do, unfortunately Warzone sucked. Anyhow, yeah the maps are too small for it to be stocked with a “satisfying” amount of stuff for a fireteam in my opinion. Edit: It would be pretty sweet to have maps the size of lets say Caspian Border with vehicles spawning in immediately like Battlefield (slow drip is lame).
Idk if I’d say the maps are small exactly, claustrophobic absolutely, and impossible to use vehicles in, but not entirely sure if they’re smaller than Bungie BTB maps. I can say though that the map layout design wastes a lot of space, and really turns the map from a battlefield into a rat maze Big Team Arena instead, which really sucks. I hate every single Infinite BTB map for being so claustrophobic for both ground and air vehicles. 4 and 5 maps weren’t this bad, and Warzone maps had a lot of room to drive and fly. Idk how they messed up so badly in Infinite BTB map design.
Maybe if they took the 3 current BTB maps and scaled them 20% larger, they would feel much better for driving and flying
Think you might be right, im probably referring to the feel of them instead of the technicality. Yes I miss Sidewinder, Blood Gulch, Valhalla, Coagulation, Death Island, Ice Fields, etc… idk why 343 likes this arena style so much its vomit inducing.
Regarding the size of matches… 24v24 would require those size and starting with vehicles is the way it should be slow drip sucks just like 343 does who implemented such garbage. Dont try to play that card with me there little Bambi.
Hahahaha. Theyre all to blame for me he was just the first to come to mind. Plus once that bubble hits his face i can imagine a grunt scream when he inhales your intoxicating musk.
No seriously, what is it that you hate Joe Staten for? Because to be frank, he is one of the best on the team since the beginning. He was the guy responsible for most of the iconic scenes in Halo 2 and Halo 3.
Meanwhile Frank O’Connor made retcon after unnecessary retcon and Brian Reed made fan-ficiton become canon with Halo 5 Gourdians.
Obviously because he is apart of this catastrophe and allowed them to release this junk. Plus they brought him in to help and apparently it didnt do to much. Bring the guy in just to rush out the product, im sure he helped a lot the last year but he still hides behind their BS words with very little answers.
You are actually not that far off on that last part.
August of 2020 he was made the Campaign Project Lead of Halo Infinite.
Later on he was promoted further to Head of Creative.
So we can imagine that he had a lot of script work to sift through and make it unlike Halo 5 probably, since they had to go off of Brian Reed’s setup and notes… and then scrap that because Reed doesn’t know the difference between a novel and toilet-paper.
The stuff in the cave is often why I get so many kills on the map. Grabbing camo, hammer, dynamo grenades, and shock rifle all in one go Sets you up for a while
