Let’s be real here. So everytime I come to this board there seems to be a good amount of people ranting constantly about how Halo should be liked 2 and 3. It should be that core experience with limited changes because that’s what Halo “is” and Reach was too CoDish.
Now I see people complaining about how Halo 4 is becoming too CoDish because there is “sprint” and “perks” and a “progress” system.
But don’t you people realize? Everyone’s huge complaint about CoD is that its repetitive. Redundant. Doesn’t change anything except maybe a better weapon selection and new maps with every installation. Why can’t Halo change?
You people are attempting to shove Halo into a corner that it doesn’t need to be in. We didn’t even get to SEE this new system, and its probably because 343 is scared to show anything without a huge drastic reaction from the community. You people are complaining about sprinting. SPRINTING!
I want to see this new armor system, I want to see the progression system, I want to see a NEW multiplayer experience, not the one i bought 4 years ago. Let 343 do what they want to do and let Halo change. From the gameplay I saw it looks like a visual upgrade from Halo 3 only, so I can guarantee that it will feel like Halo at the end of the day, just with a lot of cool neat ideas which I’m sure they will balance out. Give it a chance at least.
I know gaming looks like its going down the drain but I have faith 343 won’t let that happen to Halo, and you should try to have that faith too. Before you go out and cancel your pre-orders and boycott this game, at least wait till we see this system in action.
I Think halo 4 will be Halo 4. Not CoD Not halo 1, 2, 3, or reach. People need to stop pre judging a game that looks as good as crysis(IMO) and has 8-9months before it is released.
People in general, not just the Halo cummunity, LOVE to complain about anything.
People love to be right. People prejudge saying that Halo 4 will suck just so that down the line if it does not meet expectations, they can say " I told you so! 343 sucks"
I actually check the forums from time to time, and came to see how excited everyone would be now that some gameplay has been shown, and I saw all this nonsense!
People are way too finicky over the slightest details which in reality, won’t end up being anything like they’re expecting anyway!
Halo will never be like COD. Full stop. Yes of course games take inspiration from others around them, for christ sakes Halo wouldn’t exist if the Alien movies weren’t around. SO yeah, maybe a sprint system has been borrowed, or something else here and there, but that is natural with change. It’s not suddenly going to become COD in space! People need to stop worrying/ over-reacting and maybe grow up a little. Change is natural!
It’s not like we didnt know what was gonna happen when we get to see Halo 4. This community lives of being negative. It’s not like we thought this was only back at bnet. Of course it’s here too… It’s the bloody internet for christ sake.
However, I’m saddened to see that this community has such a big amount of kids/trollers/ragers or whatever you want to call them. I just don’t hope waypoint turns into something horrible like the Warcraft forums or what MMO-Champion is about to become…
Threads like these make me happy. What people don’t understand that, despite this whole progression and perk system (which we haven’t even seen yet, mind you, and don’t know how it works yet), the core gameplay does in fact seem to be the same we’ve come to know and love with the original trilogy. Sure, we can voice our opinions about it, but a lot of people are overreacting over something they don’t even know anything about yet.

I’m extremely skeptical of this game. It seems like from the trailer it is going to be even more different from the original Halo trilogy than Reach…
I don’t fully understand ‘perks’ and the new ‘player progression’ but I’m willing to give 343i a chance to make it all amazing.
I’m just elated that 2 great things have happened and that is NO HEALTHPACKS which I ranted against on b.net to no avail, and of course BATTLE RIFLE back…
