I found a guy who’s name.is MrMartini85 who made maps for CE, H2 and H3 and he even made game types which called CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3. Find it on his fileshare and you have your Classic Playlist already.
Message to 343i and I hope Ske7ch read this. See what I just mentioned above? Yes, that is how a Classic Playlist should be made and that is fan made. How much do the developers get for inconsistency? This guy already made it and he ain’t getting payed by Microsoft.

343 KNOW full well what people want when it comes to a classic playlist. It’s their own ignorance that stops them.
@op: there’s all kinds of community made maps and classic modes that would be fitting for a true classic mode, I however prefer the settings called “evolved” as it does play quite well and was tested thoroughly with what they had available to them.
There are settings floating around called “evolved settings” and it plays pretty -Yoink!- smooth
they should be using those as the classic playlist settings

I didn’t make the maps, just the modes. Some of the maps I tweaked the weapon placement to match the originals or added the CE magnum & H2 BR when those were released (may have messed with the aesthetics a bit), but I didn’t forge those maps. Unfortunately, when you edit a map in Halo 5, it replaces the creator’s name with your own. Usually I then add the original creator’s name in the map’s description … hopefully I remembered to do that for them all.

The only problem is, there have been a few times where the person I got it from wasn’t the original creator either. So your map can get pretty far removed from you pretty quickly. Look at these and guess how many are all the same base map that one guy created and others have tweaked (as I have done) and the original creator’s name is gone. It sucks because those of us who are terrible at forging but love customs rely on great forgers and this is only discouraging them.
You could just call Ske7ch over (like I just did). He probably won’t respond, but he’ll most likely see it. I think he already knows the general consensus for the classic playlist situation, but at least you are giving options for them to explore.

in calling this is only a taste of classic. the real classic gamemode with the h2 br for h2 and h3 maps will come in the next update.
i am curious to see how this gamemode plays however it seems fun so i wont criticize it yet(except its name mock that all you want).
