I Actually Think 343 Is Lying

They said that ONLY 11% of responders to their polls say they don’t want sprint. 11%? I’m not one for conspiracies, but after the disastrous launch of Halo: MCC, I don’t find it hard to believe at all that 343 would minimize their numbers and distort the truth to further their and Microsoft’s agenda to be mainstream.

EDIT: It simply seems unrealistic that only 11% of responders would fully despise sprint, considering every other poll on this site indicates otherwise and almost everyone in every Twitch chat also dislikes sprint.

Oh look another one of these threads. I was totally expecting something else…

Of course they lied. You know why? Because they want to make a bad game and more people unhappy. Duh?

I’d just ignore that biased poll. I don’t understand why they couldn’t make it an open one. Not only did tons of people not know about this “sign up,” but I’m betting that plenty of people didn’t even participate in the vote. This is an inaccurate poll made to make them feel better about sprint. I’ve seen community user Sprint polls conducted better than 343. I’m also sure the wording of the question is altered so that it had less of an impact on people their numbers against sprint. HCS had better advertising than this, which I think people cared more about having the potential to actually make Halo better.

They are unwilling to release further statistics of how many people actually voted. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were scared, so actively promoted people to like for sprint. As you can see, I obviously don’t trust 343 completely yet, still a ways to go.

I’m sure that’s their ultimate goal…

What exactly, would they gain from skewing the results? Believe or not, but they are people whose income actually depends on the success of Halo. So what exactly would they gain from sabotaging their own game? Seriously, if you believe they’re lying, you need a reality check.

Because if they make it open, anti-sprint voters would flood it and distort results. They wanted to know unbiased facts about fanbase’s expectations, not what most vocal minority says.

there where more answers than just yes or no to sprint

A lot of their stats seem wonky.

If you look at the beta stats they released thing like amount of players, total time played, and total kills just don’t make any mathematical sense when compared to each other.

If it’s open to everyone how could a minority flood it?

That makes no sense.

They should have put the actual polls in the BETA. After lets say, you log 1 hour of gameplay the next time you log on you should be prompted to fill out a questionnaire.

What wouldn’t they gain?

Hype and perception are very real things. Just look at MS’s actions regarding the always online aspects of the XB1. Negative perception and controversy are bad for business.

If you can do something to stamp out that controversy, you obviously gain.

That doesn’t make sense. An open poll is as unbiased as it gets, that’s including people outside of Murica (whether it makes a difference or not). The results will speak for themselves, and if the anti sprinters get their victory, then they should own up to it. I hope they aren’t thinking like you, because that’s biased by every meaning.

i want sprint in my halo. whether the poll was “true or not” sprint has its rightful place in halo 5.

Explain to me the effects sprint has on map design.

I actually think that you are dumb.

See what I did there?

It was open to everyone. Anyone could join, all these people who are making sprint poll and still join and give there feed back. The post Link all over this website, teambeyond, reddit, Neogaf, Youtube, Pretty much any halo website they all have link and posts and threads. I post link to many of these website in an other thread. Its not inaccurate its actually much more accurate then any of these so called “better polls”
The question was

“DO you like to sprint in HALO” simple question very obvious no trickery, do dubiousness, nothing just a simple question
The possible answers were

  1. Strongly Disagree
  2. Disagree
  3. Neutral
  4. Agree
  5. Strongly Agree

11% were 1 and 2
12% were 3 neutral
77% were 4 and 5

The did release statistic 19,000 Joined the HCFP(Halo Community Feedback Program) Of those 19,000 A total of 10,000 Actually participated in the poll that contained the sprint question

The only reason anyone thinks the poll was biased or 343 lied is because it doesn’t support their opinions. Had it been reversed, you’d be awfully silent and/or using it to justify your opinions. Had the poll supported no sprint in Halo, I’d say that sprint shouldn’t be in Halo. But it didn’t.

Get a grip, truthers.
The HCFP poll was promoted on many unofficial Halo websites many of which had a majority of member crying over sprint being in Halo.
Why wasn’t it an open poll? Because then anybody can create multiple accounts in an effort to boost a specific response to any question.

Someday you’ll be old enough to vote. They’re going to ask for your identification. Don’t freak out. They’re not trying to exclude people, they’re just making sure one person gets one vote (among other things).

Now that we’ve settled that, carry on listening to your Alex Jones podcasts and spotting chemtrails.

11% from surveys only almost 20k people have takened, which included both versions of “No.” to sprint.

It isnt a conspiracy. However, I can agree that 343 can get a better picture of what rhe community wants if they have stickied the link to the Halo 5 survey in the forums instead of leaving it obscured in a blog.
