I honestly Love Halo Reach, it is my favorite game in the world (but then again, Every Halo game is tied in first place for my favorite video games of all time, with WoW in 2nd :P). I just don’t understand why so many people say “Reach failed”. It saddens me that people expect games to feel exactly like the previous game. I like armor abilities, especially sprinting and the jet pack. Not to anger fellow players, but i prefer the DMR over the BR, it reminds me of a futuristic M14 :). Though bloom is disliked by many players, I like the idea of it, because Firearms recoil, so not even a Spartan would be able to fire round after round in quick trigger pulls and be 100% accurate (but then again I don’t know a real Spartan). Though I am liking the title update because it will bring back the Halo: CE pistol. I like Reach because it did dare to be slightly (and it really is slightly) different in gameplay mechanics then its predecessors. Bloom for me is no big deal, because I just pace my shots and kill enemies in 5 perfect shots. Don’t get me wrong I love every Halo campaign, but I do like Reach’s campaign, Space combat in “Long Night of Solace” was one of my favorite all time missions. I just hope the Title Update helps to bring more people to appreciate Halo:Reach. I hope Halo 4 will continue to defy to be exactly like the previous installments, and try to incorporate new ideas, while building on all of the successes of previous Halo titles from halo 1- Reach. However I would like Armor Abilities and equiptment, and Dual wielding back.
Note- I am not trying to “force” anyone to hop off the " I hate Halo: Reach Bandwagon", I am just explaining why I love Halo Reach.
I lke Reach to, but I think it was a little to much change for those really hard core Halo fans. It caused alot of frustration arould the community.
It all comes down to opinion in the end. I don’t like Reach for one because it has additions that break some classic things I was fond of. There’s nothing wrong with hating or liking it.
After seeing CEA, I don’t even know what the hell Reach is. In fact, I now think of it as a part of CEA. I recognize it as a Halo game that’s for sure.

I’m one of the Halo hardcore fans that believed that Bungie had the right to say that Reach was their swan song, so do my friends.

QFT.
I also think the transition from Bungie to 343 was rocky. There was no real way to avoid it. What I mean by that is the time it has taken to get to the TU stage might have been longer than what most people would have liked. I also think if they had a true Classic playlist from the beginning things might have went smoother. You will always have those that hate for hating sake though as well.

…reffering to Reach being one of their better games. I thought it was a improvement over Halo 3

Lolz I thought you were being snippy with me. I should have said SOME hard core fans or regularfans had problems with it.
Reach I like, I like many of the aa’s, the pistol and the pro pipe were also welcome improvements, looking forward to H4 now. I hope they do something with the movement, I would like MC to be more agile.
Well your entitled to your opinion, that is your right OP.
Kasually (Casually) you can’t really hate Reach. There is no reason to, which is kind of ironic when you look at it competitive stand point.
The “new” Klassic settings (not that playlist Overkill VR produced) harken back to the older Halo’s while still being Reach. Really, 343 has only added to game, not removed a single feature from loldefaultReach.
Well I would like to thank you all for being polite, I am glad we can have nice open debates in Halo fourms (which is why i avoid the Blizzard forums at all costs). I am excited for the Tu though, I would like to see just how different the Classic and Reach playlists are, and maybe more people will play Reach
