As much as I would love to speculate (and believe me I have my preferences), I seriously doubt that 343 would have the willpower to actually create maps that are 1 to 1 modernized versions of the classic maps. Even in MCC where they remade seven classic Halo 2 maps, they were compelled to use a radically different artstyle for no reason.
Well, that being said however, I do really like some (emphasis on some) of the remade maps that 343 made for MCC. Zenith, Stonetown, and Lockdown are particular standouts. Though others (namely Bloodline) I felt deviate a bit too much from the original maps Blood Gulch and Coagulation, I much preferred their more green aesthetic.
So, in conclusion, there are a number of old maps that I would love to see make a return, but preferably if they were nearly one for one (kind of like Vahalla and Ragnarok) Speaking of
-Valhalla (using the Halo Online version if necessary)
-Blood Gulch (or Coagulation)
-Last Resort (emphasis on the Halo 3 version)
-Battle Canyon and Penance (Reach had some really good remakes of these Halo CE maps IMO)
++ Itās big enough for BTB and small enough for other player sizes as well.
++ Any vehicles played well on this map from normal to heavies.
++ Almost all game modes can played and with small tweaks made in Forge, game modes like Zombies can be played, which already has been done in official playlist in the past. In my opinion, itās a near perfect map.
ZANZIBAR/LAST RESORT
++ For all the same reasons above except BTB in Infinite wouldnāt play as well for most peopleās liking but, I love the Halo chaos so Iād welcome it with open arms.
++ CTF (Normal and 1Flag) and Assault was built to play this map.
++ One of the very, very few maps with interactive environments also, to the best of my knowledge the only Halo map ever with destructiveness. Might be a small amount but, I always liked that and really thought more maps would follow suit. Never happened though in any halo that followed

WIZARD/WARLOCK
++ A map that couldnāt be any more symmetrical. And for that reason some of my favorite game modes like KOTH, Oddball, multi-team (anything), Neutral CTF all play frantically and beautifully on this bad boy!
++ Fiesta, Juggernaut also work well on this map while keeping the fun factor near a 10.
Itās circle so you canāt get lost but somehow you do at least once a game lol
RAVINE/SETTLER
++ I like it
Assault on Apex 7
++ Obviously this would be for BTB because Iām a huge fan.
