I have to agree. Which makes me stoked for its release. I really think this will bring the community back together. And this will only make Halo 5 that much better. But I definitely think our H2A is coming. Just have to wait for E3 now to see what they’re doing with it
I just hope a H2 anniversary would still be released on 360 in addition to the X1 so no matter what happens with Halo 5 I can still enjoy the original trilogy on a single platform.
Definitely wouldn’t expect to see him talking about this “hypothetical game” so much if it wasn’t in the works.
Also I can’t see them releasing this on the 360 since -Yoink!- is more then likely going to use this as a system seller.
This makes me way more excited for “hypothetical” H2A. Knowing that MS actually finds it important that they nail the MP makes me tingle inside. They know that MP is the important part of H2A. Don’t get me wrong, I love every Halo campaign, but the MP is the important part for H2A. I just went through H2’s campaign the other day(for the trillionth time). As much as I would love to see a prettier version, it’s still very playable. I can’t say the same about MP. Sure, I can play system link or XBC, but it isn’t the same. I want to enjoy some BTB again. I want to find players to play with, without relying on my terrible friends to come over with their setups. MP is just important and I’m glad they understand that.
Nope. If a Halo 2 Anniversary were in the making, they wouldn’t talk about it before an official release. They’d keep everything tightly-wrapped until then. This is evidence that they’re not making a Halo 2 Anniversary.
I really hope they fix the input lag problem that was present in CEA when playing with updated graphics. That would ruin the Multiplayer they seem so determined to make fantastic.

Well that sounds kind of stupid. I think you’re forgetting the “leaks” which caused a massive peak in interest in a potential H2A. Not to mention it’s 2014, ten years after the release of Halo 2. If there was any time to make a H2A, now is definitely the time. Besides, why would you rub off an interview with Phil Spencer as fake when we have no proof it’s fake?
Hope it’s not released this year.

What’s your point?
It makes sense. The only thing that they need to get right is the H2 multiplayer experience. CEA’s experience was messed up because they used Reach’s multiplayer. This time they have an actual online model to work from. They may even be able to resurrect the rank system 0.o
Well let’s just hope all the things that broken Halo 2’s multiplayer gets fixed. Like the xbox-killing modders that shortened one of my 360’s lifespan.

Seriously? What do you think my point is? Halo 2 Anniversary is more likely now than any other time.
> Seriously? What do you think my point is? Halo 2 Anniversary is more likely now than any other time.
And all of the “signs” are only rumors that come from sources other than Microsoft or 343i. So if you want to believe that a H2A is in the making, then fine, but I think you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.
Half-Life 2 also came out in 2004; that alone plus fan requests is not enough to assume that a Half-Life 2 Anniversary is being made. And we have no more evidence for a Half-Life 2 Anniversary than we do a Halo 2 Anniversary.
It might be happening but if there is Multiplayer at all there’s no way it’s going to be perfectly the same.
Unless the exploits were all hardware bound… Then nevermind.

You sound like the people who were claiming there was never going to be a Halo 4. If Microsoft wants to keep the Anniversary release schedule consistent, they;re bound to release H2A in 2014. And that’s not even considering the recent interviews, fake or not. It wouldn’t even matter much if it didn’t release this year, Microsoft would be stupid not to make H2A. Seeing how well CEA did, and how people love Halo 2, a H2A would help them net more people into buying Xbox Ones, and to prepare for Halo 5’s release. You seem to be ignoring everything that alludes to H2A’s release this year.
> If Microsoft wants to keep the Anniversary release schedule consistent, they;re bound to release H2A in 2014.
And if there is no H2A, that point is moot.

Nice circular logic. Read the rest of my post.

> This comparison makes no sense. “We have no evidence for a Half-Life 2 anniversary”, because it doesn’t need one, and Valve has no motive to do so. Halo 2, on the other hand, is a much more likely candidate for a remake given Microsoft’s apparent desire to make Halo anniversary editions on next-gen consoles. And H2A is sure to make a lot of people buy an Xbox One. Valve doesn’t have to worry about that.
Lock it down, both of you.
